I consider myself one of the lucky few who is building a career in a field that excites both my creative passion and my drive for excellence. I received my B.S Interior Design Degree in 2010 at High Point University. At that time, High Point University was ranked as one of the Top 10 Undergraduate Programs in the nation by “Design Intelligence Journal.” I am also a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, which is the leading professional organization for the interior design industry. I have worked as an interior designer on the Outer Banks since 2010. My favorite part of the design process is getting to know my clients and their style and taste and then working within budgets to create their personal vision. I have a very hands on style, as I prefer to be involved in all aspects of designing and transforming a property. Year-round and second homes are a personal favorite that require special attention to detail, but I am also very experienced with our hospitality market. Furnishings, finishes and décor for these homes must be selected for coastal aesthetics, vacation comfort and rental durability. To ensure consistent reservations, rental homes must be assessed and updated annually during the offseason. Another service I provide my clients is to plan updates for the following year, so they can budget in advance.
