Cherri has been absolutely wonderful throughout the building of our new home. Being a first time home builder can be daunting, but Cherri has made it easy when it comes to picking out the finishes and finalizing the design of our home. I have had tons of questions and she is always very quick to respond and extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her to anyone in the Dallas area :)

Cherri helped us design a floorplan from nothing. She listened to our wish list and was so easy to work with — especially when I was having a hard time making decisions! She was patient, kind and understanding. Her professionalism combined with her warm personality are a fabulous combination!

We hired Atkins Design Group to design and build our dream craftsman style home because of a recommendation and their awards for energy efficiency. Cherri worked with us to design our house, met us at every appointment, guided our decisions but also listened to what we wanted. She made sure we were in our budget but let us dream. Wayne and his crew always did the most quality work and Wayne ensured every decision was the best decision. They were always professional, thorough, and proactive in communication. When designing a custom home, everyone always told us stories about how hard it would be. Honestly, I enjoyed every minute of it because of Atkins Design. They made it an enjoyable experience because of their knowledge and professionalism. They not only built our dream home, but helped us make memories through the process. Although I am hoping this is our forever home, if we were to ever build again, Atkins Design would be my choice.

Cherri Atkins with Atkins Design Group recently provided the architectural design for an addition and remodel project for our home. While it was a relatively small project compared to the magnitude of other projects they have completed, she made us feel like our job was important to her, meeting with us on three separate occasions. At the first meeting she helped us to understand that our scope of work was well beyond our budget, but she quickly suggested an alternate plan that more than met all of our goals and was within our budget. She exceeded our expectations in both her design skills and timeliness in providing our plans. She also offered to meet with our builder, should he have any questions. Cherri is a very personable, yet professional person. We cannot recommend Atkins Design Group highly enough.

Cherri Atkins has been a pleasure to work with. We are having her design our custom dream home. She's very easy to work with and there is no such thing as a silly question. She has superb design ideas and truly listens to what we want. Cherri treats us as if she has known us for many years. We chose the Atkins Design Group to design a home for our empty-nest stage after seeing the Village Park Eco Home built by Wayne Atkins of Sterling Brook Homes. Wayne recommended Cherri Atkins of Atkins Design Group because she handles the design side of many of his projects. They have been a delight to work with, especially as we explored some of the extra details we want, including an elevator, roof water collection system, and solar. Both Cherri and Wayne have arranged appointments and joined us when visiting examples of some of these special items. They both have vast experience in home design and building. Cherri has been very patient with us going through various iterations to get to the final floor plan. She has been able to take what we say and what we post in our Houzz account to come up with a vision that we are very happy with. She has great listening skills and understands, possibly due to years of collaborating with Wayne, what details can cause problems during the building phase. It's always good to work through those things before construction starts. Cherri promptly returns messages and turn around on each step has moved very efficiently. We are at the stage of choosing appliances and Cherri has done research to find the most appropriate products for our high-end home at the best prices. This review covers the design consultations and floor plans. We have not started construction, yet.

Such a professional with a keen eye for the latest and greatest in design. She is incredibly organized, focused and makes the whole process easy and fun. She listens well and always has solutions to make clients satisfied. I enjoy working with her on a regular basis.

It was a pleasure working with Cherri as she designed our dream home. Since this was our first time designing/building a home, she helped us make informed decisions and promptly responded to emails or phone calls whenever we had a question or concern. We were always treated as though we were her number one priority. It was also nice working with her husband, Wayne (SterlingBrook Custom Homes), whose expertise helped us in all aspects of our build. Our dream home project had a great team from start to finish.

They are proud of every home they build and develop a great relationship with all of their clients. Cherri is very responsive to our ideas and provides her years of professional experience to create a high quality project. Wayne goes above and beyond to be accessible to clients. You will not be left waiting for a return call. Their customer service is very impressive and I often recommend their company to anyone I know that is looking for a builder.

Very professional. Listen to you and your ideas. Cheri has a keen eye for floor plan design and layout. Recommends practical ideas that you may not think of. Takes your ideas and runs with it to make your dream home. Used this design firm in conjunction with Sterling Brook Builders. They are a husband and wife team that we like to refer to as the dynamic duo!! Always available to answer questions and explain things! Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat. In fact, I already have! Everyone says what a headache building a house is and how stressful. Although there is always some level of stress involved, I found it to be a super fun and amazing experience! I credit Cheri and Wayne Atkins for much of that!
