The Atlantic Lighting Studio is where I turn when I require help with difficult or more specialized lighting questions. The staff is very knowledgeable and professional. They have access to more lighting fixtures than anyone else I have ever dealt with. I would recommend anyone who has a lighting project in mind, contact them and let them take care of your lighting needs.

Can't say enough about service I received at Atlantic Lighting. Top notch all the way. Friendly thoughtful and caring service was extended to me and everything possible was done in helping me make a lighting choice for my kitchen. Chris deserves a medal for the patience she showed with my indecisions, and that's putting it mildly, while showing great care in finding a solution. I was most impressed by the fact that I was able to actually try the lights before making my final decision as Chris had her technician connect ac plugs to the lights, allowing me to simply plug them into the wall, enabling me to get a real sense of the effect....I can honestly say that I know of no other place that would have allowed me the same luxury,,,Atlantic Lighting in my experience went above and beyond. I made at least 3 trips to the studio in Wolfville which for me was a 2hr40min round trip,,, I did so happily, and will again in the future.

We realized early in the planning process of building that we would need professional advice for the all important aspect of lighting. Chris at Atlantic Lighting was our choice as we had worked successfully with her in the past. Our home is now complete and I must say that we are extremely impressed with the quality of lighting. Seven years ago I wanted to purchase a light for my living room and approached Chris MacQuarrie at Atlantic Lighting Studio about whether she could order it for me. I was very impressed that she would not do so until I told her much more about the room and provided a photo. That experience and several others at the time confirmed that lighting and customer satisfaction really matter to her. I have just finished working with Chris on the lighting design for a unique and complex new home. The building design and the ways in which we want to use the space presented many challenges. In addition, I am very opinionated about lighting, both in terms of form factor and colour temperature. Chris was undaunted and worked closely with me to create a plan that is completely tailored to our needs. She and I even spent some time on a ladder in a darkened room confirming the measurements that would allow us to light art on a gallery wall. While that may sound esoteric, Chris was also more than willing to source utilitarian lights for the spaces where I thought that was the best choice. I was especially impressed by Chris’ ability and willingness to roll with the punches and to quickly research alternatives and refine the design when changes were required. I purchased all of the fixtures through Atlantic Lighting. They received and inspected them before shipping to the builder with detailed packing slips. I heard that this element of their service was executed virtually flawlessly. While this review has focused on Chris as the owner of the business, I should note that her staff are unfailingly pleasant and helpful. I never heard the “her again” tone in their voices when I sometimes had to call multiple times a day. I unreservedly recommend the services of Atlantic Lighting Studio.

We had a wonderful experience working with Chris MacQuarrie and her team. Planning a kitchen refresh we wanted LED lighting that would be discrete and complement our 1910 house. I consulted with Chris MacQuarrie of Atlantic Lighting for the lighting plan of our new custom-built home. Chris listened to all my requests and understood the look we were going for: Arts and Crafts. She was able to provide a detailed lighting plan on my house plans and provided valuable information for heights of switches, placement of sconces and placement of pot lights.
