Our experience with Bay Lakes Builders was outstanding! Paul and his team were extremely helpful and responsive throughout the process. Paul helped us pick the perfect lot and then provided us with several house plans that were a good fit for us based on our input. We asked for some minor tweaks to one of the plans and Paul quickly revised the plan to give us the exact plan we wanted. Picking interior and exterior finishes for the house could have been very stressful, but Dawn's guidance in this area made it almost easy. She had great ideas for us when we didn't know what to select, was a pleasure to work with, and we are very happy with all the selections that were made. Communication with the team during construction was very organized. Ryan (finance) kept us updated on project costs with the change order process to avoid surprises; Mike (project manager) patiently fielded questions, tracked down answers, and worked with vendors to ensure everything was delivered on time; and Dan (construction manager) worked closely with the subs providing oversight and keeping the project moving forward. They all did a great a great job. I love my new home and plan to be there a long time. Highly recommend Paul and his team!

We took a chance on Bay Lakes from seeing them at an open house, and it worked out amazingly well, can't recommend them enough! It's a family run builder, small enough to give your project personal attention, with years of experience building in northeast Wisconsin. Paul, the principal and estimator, helped us get to a floor plan and exterior design that perfectly met our needs, without needing an architect. You can tell that he is really interested in making sure the final home is something you will love. Naturally the cost for what we wanted was way over our budget, and Paul patiently helped us come to a final design that we could both afford and really be excited about. Dawn helps with interior design and product selection; she is very knowledgeable as well and steered us towards vendors and selections that harmonized into a perfect whole. Dan is the site manager and is really on top of things, keeping those pesky contractors in line and getting things done even as we "built from afar." He was always available to meet us when we needed him and was there with answers to any questions about the building process. This being our first home building experience, we had a million questions (and changes) and Dan and the whole team worked to take care of them with no problems. Then you have Ryan and Mike working behind the scenes, taking care of the financial details and scheduling. Again, open to all our questions and change requests, and keeping everything running smoothly. So, basically, if you are looking to build a house in northeast Wisconsin, you won't go wrong with Bay Lakes. They are professional, caring and get the job done. Oh, and may I add, at the cost they quoted, and even with covid, in the time-frame we needed.

Professional and knowledgeable staff that is easy to work with. They guide you through the entire process to help you achieve your vision. Paul and Dawn were fun to work with and provided us with many great insights. Ryan was organized, prompt and good to work with. Dan, the construction manager, kept on top of things and kept the project moving. We had Bay Lakes build our new home 20 years ago and were very happy with the results so we wanted them to build this home also (we actually didn't seriously consider anyone else). We were very happy with this home. They did a great job.

We were totally happy with Bay Lakes Builders. From planning to completion, they were concerned with details and offered many helpful suggestions. Paul and Dawn were fun to work with and provided us with many great insights. Ryan was wonderful to work with. He was very prompt to get back to us with comparisons and answers to our questions. Dan, the construction manager was meticulous in dealing with the many aspects of the building process. He truly did treat our project like it was his own. He expedited changes in a very timely manner. When we did the final walk through, he was actually on his hands and knees checking out details. Even with the brutal winter we had, they actually finished on time, even before the date for the Showcase of Homes. We can’t say enough about Bay Lakes Builders. They were fantastic. We would highly recommend them without hesitation.

We built a new home with Bay Lakes Builders. This was our 2nd new construction project and the difference between this company and our prior builder was night and day. Attention to detail in both the planning and construction phases were excellent. All of our questions and concerns were addressed in a timely manner, and I felt they "had our back" when it came to concerns regarding subcontractors. The project was finished on time, on budget, and with no drama. It was a smooth, enjoyable process. We are very happy with the finished product. Highly recommended.

BayLakes Builders was very professional throughout our project. They were quick to respond to any questions/concerns we had along the way. Their team was very good, providing resolution to issues quickly, responding to cost detail information, and keeping close eye on various stages of construction. Having their own interior decorator was also very helpful in assisting with color, lighting, and flooring selections. We selected BayLakes Builders after seeing some of their houses, through the showcase of homes. We liked their creative designs, and their true enthusiasm for building our home. Our project was completed on time and on budget. The only issue we had with our project was with the various trades people who often left the job site without cleaning up behind themselves.

This new construction was the second project we had Baylakes do for us after they did a garage addition for us a few years back. Working with Bay Lakes Builders was a great experience. Paul, Dawn and Ryan make a great team, They have Paul from a construction side and Dawn on the design side and Ryan, the financial guy able to keep a job in budget perspective, all serving a nice balance to each other. Our project was completed timely and everyone was professional. You never know exactly how all your selections will pull together until you see the final product and it was great having people like this that you can trust to help you through the process and give you feedback. With Bay Lakes Builders, there was hardly any stress. Anytime there was a question they were right on top of it. They have connections with everyone and are so knowledgeable about all the companies and resources available. From the start they took down a list of things we wanted with our house, then with our budget in mind, made a suggestion on a layout that they thought would work for us. It is perfect for us and has everything we want and more! The Bay Lakes Builder team are so organized with everything, I would have to say they make building a house easy. They put people in charge who are very reliable and available to answer questions and be there whenever needed. We were given a potential completion date and even though we a delay with the land they kept on track and were finished right on time. Bay Lakes Builders helped us design and build our custom home in Door County, Wisconsin. From the very beginning of our process, Bay Lakes personnel were helpful, patient, attentive to our needs, budget, quality, and timeliness. In spite of building in a brutal winter, from dream stage to completion took nine months. Our 4 bed, 3 bath home was completed May 2014. We have 2000 sq ft on the main level and another 900 sq ft of finished living space in the lower level walk out. Our home was completed for $380,000 on hillside property we already owned. We had the driveway paved and landscaping done after we took occupancy. We are thrilled with our home and continue to be impressed with the work of Bay Lakes Builders. We recommend them to others dreaming of a building project.
