We hired Calecco to convert an existing garage into an ADU and the experience left us feeling disappointed and disillusioned. We weren't naive enough to think that our project wouldn't encounter any obstacles, but we couldn't have imagined just how frustrating an experience it would be. The lack of communication, shoddy work and prolonged delays we encountered along the way left us feeling angry and frankly, foolish that we entrusted Calecco to do the job. Murad wasn't appropriately engaged with our project and days would go by without an update on the work or where the project stood. We felt abandoned and left in the dark, feeling like our project didn't matter. When there was work being done, it was all too often farmed out to incompetent individuals. Bathroom tiling, electrical installation and grading were all done incorrectly and had to be fixed. Brand new hardwood floors were badly scratched up, the garbage disposal wasn't hooked up properly and the bathroom fan was never installed. All indicative of inadequate supervision and oversight. Given our experience, we will no longer use Calecco and hope this review may help others who are contemplating having similar work done.

Given the complexity of our project having irregular small lot and irregular shaped structures with heavy use of steel, Calecco Construction managed to deliver outstanding results by building a ground up four car garage with an ADU on top, ground up 2 bd/2ba townhouse and expansion/remodel to an existing house. They did a really good job in completing the project as per our needs. They handled the inevitable surprises that came with a job of this size extremely well. We evaluated many proposals and finally chose Calecco Construction for our construction. They did a really good job in completing the project as per our needs. They always kept us informed and always available to answer our questions. Even though we faced some challenges during the construction process, Calecco team always gave us options and finally made it work. We passed all inspections without any issues which made us feel very calm and comfortable. Calecco has really good people working for them. The Carpenters, plumbers, electricians and tile installers were all excellent and completed the job on time without any issues. They are personable, professional and punctual, they never stopped working until they finished. We’ve shown the completed work to friends, and they've commented on how amazing everything looked. We are glad we went with them because they are professional and allowed us to voice our opinion every step of the way. For the project that was done for the time frame, we believe their quote was more than fair. Communications with Calecco and the team was excellent, mostly via phone when needed. They stand behind their work and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with the results. In short, we would not hesitate to recommend Calecco Construction, in fact we're considering them for an additional project. Thank you Calecco Construction for a great experience! Pauline B.

We have worked with the Calecco Construction team for two projects and recommend them without reservation. From the initial experience of requesting a quote, Murad was prompt, professional and courteous. He patiently explains how renovations can be done and recommends approaches, without pressuring one into larger or more expensive projects. During the work itself, the Calecco crew arrived when scheduled, wore masks, and similarly conducted themselves in a courteous and professional manner. Murad was always available in person or by phone to discuss questions or concerns. He goes out of his way to help smooth over unexpected problems, including once driving me to a Home Depot to help select another oven when the original one delivered had a broken door, so that we could finish the kitchen on time. On another occasion he offered to replace the grout in our kitchen that was poorly done by a prior contractor. He noted while painting our house that two sets of air ducts were present, with a lower set non-functional, and offered to seal the ducts and replace the dry wall and matched baseboards so that the wall appeared new again. These small gestures of going the extra step, even when it was not written in a contract, demonstrated to us time and time again his dedication to doing the job correctly and his thoughtfulness. He completed the project within the estimated budget and on time, while not compromising on the quality of the work. We hope to work with him again!

We hired Calecco Construction to do a significant remodeling of our house (kitchen, three bathrooms, room layout alterations, etc,). From the outset, during the estimation phase, we were impressed by the professionalism shown by Murad, his knowledge and the many suggestions he made to improve the design. Once the construction started the high quality of workmanship of his team was quite evident. During construction several unforeseen issues arose due to the old age of our house and as a result several design changes were required. Murad was very helpful and responsive in handling these issues. Due to these unforeseen requirements the project was somewhat delayed as work crews had to be re-assigned but it was still completed in a reasonable time frame. The end result - we love our "new" house and are glad we selected Calecco Construction for the remodelling.

Calecco Construction recently completed a full remodel of my rental unit and I'm extremely happy with the results. They were able to work with my schedule being out of town most of the time and completed the project on time. Excellent communication and updates throughout the process and Murad and the team were a pleasure to work with. They really exceeded expecations in every way. What's more impressive is that I found them via a random Yelp search. They were one of the few contractors that offered a 'schedule estimate' via Yelp and were extremely efficient and timely from the start. They also have a very nice social media presence so I knew they stood behind their work. Definitely a nice touch in the digital age especially since I was away most of the time and was able to follow progress online. Murad is a pleasure to work with and everyone I met on the team were also very professional and friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone that is looking for a reliable contractor.
