In October 2016 we did a kitchen remodel including base cabinets, wall cabinets pantry, island with base cabinets, granite counter-tops, granite island country-top, double sink and faucet. 30 year sealant for granite. Installation was slower than expected and there were a number of issues requiring adjustment, replacement, and repairs. One of the granite counter-tops was too wide and had to be field cut- the cut edge is rough finish with chips and edge radius does not match. Not sure that the tech applied the sealant. Crown molding was (2) sections and were poorly matched. Capitol rep (Brian) advised they would take care of. Repair was as bad or worse than original. Capitol tech said he would use single length- then later Capitol says that particular molding was not available in that length (10-1/2' ????) but tech could glue two sections in shop and joints would match and it would look like one piece. Not true- when tech came to fix he had two pieces and, once again, misapplied and with gap. Brian at Capitol offers fix to split the molding and insert two accents ( and they would only charge us $ 600). Thanks but no thanks, it was faulty installation by Capitol and they should make the proper correction. Big problem I have is that Capitol does not or will not reply to emails and phone calls- clearly they do not want to correct their problems. We are really disappointed!

I've been in the cabinet business since 2003, but only for the past 2 years in the Richmond market. I've dealt with countertop fabricators in 2 states. I always give my clients the option of sourcing their own tops, or having me do it for them with them making the selection. I've referred 2 of my clients recently to Capitol because I was hearing good things about them. Both of the clients have had excellent experiences. One chose granite, the other chose Cambria quartz. In each case, my clients found the staff of Capitol to be extremely helpful. They have a huge selection of materials, reasonable lead times, competitive prices, and skilled fabricators. I always review the quality of the countertop installation, regardless of who bears responsibility for that aspect. I continue to hear nothing but praise from my clients, and I find Capitol to be as good as it gets. I will continue to refer and directly contract with Capitol.

We worked with Capitol Granite through Lowe's with the purchase of our granite counter top. They are a very professional business who sends quality workers to template and install. Our kitchen was very uneven and the installers really had to work at it to make it look perfect but they did! They were also very prompt and kept us informed every step of the way.

I purchased soapstone for a bath counter renovation--fantastic selection, and excellent execution. Customer service, craftsmanship, and turn around were all fantastic.
