Castlebuilt Homes

The issue started with the draftsman Castlebuilt currently uses. He was difficult to work with, focused on problems and not solutions, and refused to communicate over the phone or in person. Texting back and forth is not a good way to design a custom home or problem solve. We relayed out concerns to Brain at Castlebuilt and they seemed to fall on deaf ears. Also, Brian insists on using an app for all communicate and to manage projects. While the app works to discuss routine items, for more formative and complex issues texting back and forth via his app is not ideal. This created several problems and did not help move our project forward. Again we communicated out concerns and he took no corrective action. Additionally, after our deposit was placed, Brian became increasingly difficult to reach over the phone. As a result we soon began to feel like our project was not a priority. After weeks of unproductive time spent engaged in back and forth “text only” discussions, we opted to end our arrangement with Brian and Castlebuilt. Since we’d not been given any finalized plans to review, we felt it would be fair to request a partial refund. He refused, although his contract language did clearly state the deposit was non-refundable. We hope others who chose Castle Built have a more positive and productive experience, but that was not the case for us. Buyer beware.

Bathroom remodel exceeded our expectations. Very professional in all aspects and work proceeded on time and on budget. Definitely would have Castlebuilt for any future remodeling or building projects.

Castlebuilt Homes and Brian Arnold built a large stamped concrete patio for the back of our home and covered part of it. Under the covered part, he built us a built in grill with a bar and refrigerator. The other part, he built us a custom gas fire pit. We are very pleased with the patio and it looks great. Brian is very professional and had great ideas to help us with our custom design. I would recommend CastlebuiltHomes and Brian to anyone.

I was extremely pleased with the quality and speed of completion of my kitchen renovation. The owner, Brian Arnold, was always able to take the time to answer any questions and give advice on the project. He would respond to phone calls or texts within minutes. There were times when I would second guess my decisions and he helped keep me calm and made the entire process, which could have been very stressful, a very enjoyable one. His attention to detail and his vast experience with building homes really shows in his work. Now I have a beautiful kitchen that I love and would not change a thing. I am already planning a second project, an all season room on the back of my house, and will definitely use Castlebuilt Homes. I know it will be gorgeous too!

Excellent builder, excellent customer service and excellent follow thru. Brought great workers to the job site and introduced us to workers that continue doing work for us. I would highly recommend Mr. Arnold as a builder.

Brian built our new home. He did a fantastic job communicating with us as owners. The project came in on time and budget and looks fantastic! Brian has a great group of sub-contractors.

I wanted to take a second on behalf of Heather and I to thank you for all the hard work you and Castlebuilt Homes have put into our home. Our home search was quite daunting, to say the least. We were at our wits end, and almost ready to throw in the towel and just stay put in our current home. All that changed when we stumbled upon the home you were building in Persimmon Ridge. From the moment we walked in we both knew it would be our next house. It had everything we’d spent so long looking for. A huge formal dining room, a beautiful kitchen with granite countertops, enough bedrooms for our growing family, and a finished walkout for all the entertaining we enjoy doing. But the main thing we noticed was the detail. From the barreled and coffered ceilings to all the arched doorways, we were very impressed. The trim work is amazing, and the unique fixtures only helped in sealing the deal. I knew right then that I would call you and wouldn’t get off the phone until we had a deal. You’ve always been a phone call away for any questions or concerns we’ve had since moving in, which is more important to me than all the things mentioned above. You stand by your work, and your word, and that is commendable. Your workers have always been courteous, and clean (our favorite is Scooter). People always say that when you’re home hunting and find the home you’ve really been searching for, “you’ll just know it when you walk thru the door!” I always thought that was just some cliché…but after finding this home, and experiencing it, I have to agree.
