We feel incredibly lucky to have worked with Cecy on our bathroom renovation. Cecy and her team did a full bathroom renovation and bedroom face lift for the master suite in our home. The renovation included window replacements and the installation of new lighting and plumbing fixtures requiring significant electrical and plumbing rework in addition to the carpentry and tile work. They were cost effective, professional, skilled at problem solving and attentive to our needs. Cecy provided invaluable advice toward the various design decision we needed to make and was very efficient in developing and executing the actual renovation plans and work. The team maintained a clean and orderly work environment and there was little disruption to our daily lives while the project was underway.

If you are looking to remodel your home, and are seeking an excellent contractor, look no further. Let me begin by admitting that I am kind of a perfectionist, so I’m not the easiest person to work for. My husband and I were looking to remodel two outdated bathrooms in our home. We felt totally overwhelmed with all the decisions we had to make—picking tile for walls and floors, fixtures, tubs, toilets, etc. Hiring Cecy Gillen Designs to remodel our two bathrooms was the best decision we made! First off, Cecy and her crew are just lovely people. Cecy immediately made us feel at ease and assured us that all the improvements we were hoping to make to our bathrooms were possible. I had gotten estimates from five other contractors before meeting with Cecy, and some had expressed doubts that some of our changes were possible (for example, replacing a single sink with a double sink in our master bathroom). Cecy confirmed our improvements were possible, and even suggested a few additional improvements we hadn’t even considered (for example, adding custom drawers to a small closet). Cecy was always available throughout our project via email or cell phone. She even responded to late night text messages, when I told her they could wait until morning. The best part of hiring Cecy for a remodeling project is that she is an amazing designer! She has a great eye for design and is creative. When my husband and I had trouble finding tile we liked, she offered to come shopping with us. She spent hours with us at tile and bathroom stores, helping us choose coordinating tiles for our shower walls, floor, and niche. She understood exactly the style and mood we were going for and helped us execute our vision. I can’t express how much we appreciated Cecy’s assistance with choosing the multitude of little things—like grout color, paint, knobs and pulls. Cecy was also able to get us a discount from many of her vendors. Cecy’s crew were always polite and professional. They did a beautiful job and were clearly very skilled. They cleaned up after themselves each day. Being the perfectionist I am, I thoroughly reviewed the work completed each day. If I ever had a question, or wanted something changed or corrected, Cecy would quickly respond to my text messages and have the matter immediately addressed. She always said that she wanted everything to be perfect and she certainly delivered. Our bathrooms turned out AMAZING and we couldn’t be more pleased. I recommend Cecy Gillen Designs for any remodeling project you may have. I will certainly be hiring her again for any future home projects!

Our 3rd project with Cecy and team. This was a dining upgrade project scoped with a ceiling modification to add coffers and a lighting change. The ceiling came out amazingly, in line with my design intent and our mockup, and the lighting install exactly as I designed. Thrilled with the finished product! Looking forward to our next project.
