My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Carlson-Farmer, Inc. is a full service general contractor specializing in residential and light to medium commercial that has been building with excellence and integrity since 1988. We are located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Western North Carolina and are fully insured and licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina. In our building division, we specialize in architecturally designed custom homes, timber frame homes, remodeling including additions, kitchens and bathrooms, historical restorations, equestrian structures, sunrooms, screened porches, outdoor kitchens, decks, patios, docks, and much more. We also have a roofing division which includes new construction roofing and reroofing.

Awards

We were voted "Best Contractor in Rutherford County" for five consecutive years. We also received one of the top five awards for "The Most Beautiful Decks are Built with Cox Wood" for the construction of a round dock in Lake Lure, North Carolina.

Beautiful roof!!! Changed the look of the whole house. The color Chris recommended was perfect!!! Excellent job.From drab to fabulous, the old roof was beige the color recommendation was to use a dark brown. It turned out beautiful!

Carlson-Farmer Inc. built our house almost 30 years ago. They did an excellent job. They even helped us take our furniture etc. out of storage when the house was finished and set it in the appropriate rooms. Over the years when something needed a little repair work or a new project came into view, they were always helpful, honest, and hard working. My latest project was a lot of fence repair work (I live on a farm.) I am a widow and feel completely safe with the people from Carlson-Farmer.I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Carlson Farmer has been the contractor for several remodeling projects at my home. I have been extremely pleased with each one which is the reason that I seek their expertise when I begin another project. They are very thorough in every phase of the projects so I am always well informed and never hit with surprises. Their work is excellent. Their suggestions are always right on target. I have never heard any complaints about their work - but there are always tons of compliments when their firm is mentioned.

This is a great contractor . From start to finish very professional . During construction updates were daily and subs were also clean and neat . Trash was loaded daily and yard cleaned also . Interior was the same way . I highly recommend this company for additions , homes , and roofs. I’m sure they could handle commercial as well .

We first became acquainted with the work of Carlson Farmer in 1998 when we hired them to build our office building. Through the years they have done major renovations for us. In 2021, we decided to downsize. We never considered anyone but Carlson Farmer. It was their attention to detail, the workmanship and work ethic of their staff that makes us say it is the only company we ever use.
