Cheryl D. designed the kitchen in my home many years ago for the previous owner. I love the kitchen with its warm cherry cabinets and beautiful granite countertops. After decades of good service, the original appliances have begun to struggle and I was considering purchasing replacements. I sought Cheryl D.'s opinion regarding which style of appliance would blend with or enhance the kitchen's appearance. Cheryl D. took the time to consider the choices I showed her and helped me decide which appliance style would look best in my kitchen. She knows current trends and has an artist's sense of color, tone, and form. I was grateful for her opinion and respect her experienced advice! Cheryl generously declined to charge me for the time she spent considering my appliance options. How kind!

We could not be happier with the kitchen Cheryl designed for us. Let me tell you why. I love to bake and spend time in the kitchen. During our initial meeting, Cheryl did not just measure the kitchen, she asked me many, many questions about what I like and how I function in the kitchen. Surveying the inside and outside of our existing cabinets and drawers to assess our needs. The result? Awesome! She designed a kitchen that was well-laid out, functional, had more usable storage space, and absolutely stunning to look at. She provided gorgeous cabinets that had cool pull-outs, turntables, dividers, etc. She designed our oven/refrigerator area to look more like a built-in, giving it a cleaner, custom look. Cheryl did not just take our existing layout and replace the cabinets. She completely transformed the area. She pushed the limits, slightly moving our peninsula into the dining area just enough to make the kitchen area appear so much larger (and feel so much larger) without jeopardizing the dining space. We live in a townhome, so our dining area and kitchen area are adjacent to each other. It was important to us to have a kitchen that is pleasing to look at while we dine/entertain. A kitchen that is integrated into the dining area. Her many years in the industry has provided her with a wealth of resources which she is happy to share. She provided so many recommendations for us to aid in our selections for countertops, knobs, etc. As a bonus - - she is a lot of fun to work with. Her enthusiasm and design skills are off the chart. She is not condescending like some designers. She will listen to what you have to say - - everything you have to say -- and come up with a design that incorporates your wishes but in a more aesthetically pleasing and functional way. She listens, and has your best interest at heart. One other thing - - you get more than you can imagine with her. An example – a friend of ours hired Cheryl. Just upon entering their home, she pointed at the fireplace bump-out and said, ‘Paint that black.’ Our friend was taken aback. Even though quite creative herself, it had never occurred to her to paint the bump-out fireplace black, and she was somewhat hesitant to do so. But she trusted Cheryl and went ahead and painted it as Cheryl suggested. It is stunning, and changed the entire room. It makes a statement to all who enter the home, as it is the first thing to which your eye is drawn, and then hard to look away. Do yourself a favor - - hire Cheryl. You will thank yourself every time you look at your new kitchen. I am in love with mine!

I have a large kitchen. I wanted to add onto my existing island. I contacted several cabinet companies and no one was willing to try to match my 12 year old cherry cabinets. Cheryl came in and said “no problem”. She had some wonderful design suggestions. Her husband Marius is a great carpenter and built and totally matched my existing cabinets. The island is irregularly shaped so it was a challenge but the final results exceeded my expectations. You’d never know we added on. Cheryl really knows kitchen and cabinet design and all the products choices too. She oversaw the work too. HIGHLY recommend Cheryl D for your kitchen or bath projects.

In a nutshell, Cheryl D does not disappoint. I hired Cheryl and her team to design and construct a new kitchen. Not only did they do so, but they managed to create a space that blended beautifully and seamlessly with the rest of my home… more than what I ever envisioned. Cheryl, with her years of knowledge and experience, has the innate ability to take your ideas and fine tune them to perfection. She is truly a delight to work with. Her team is so professional, talented and considerate… they go far beyond what you could ever expect. My husband and I are retirees who have considerable experience with personal and business remodeling projects. We are pretty hard to please when it comes to having work done in our recently acquired condo because we have learned so many things the hard way over the years. Cheryl and her construction team do some very impressive work. We hired Cheryl D to design two bathrooms in an attempt to update our new home. She provided excellent advice, directed us to resources which were very helpful to us as we made our own choices, kept us all on schedule, used a team of meticulous, polite and dedicated workers, AND followed through on all of her commitments. Cheryl was wonderful to work with! Our project involved taking down a wall between our kitchen and dining room to create a more open floor plan and she came up with a layout that was far more functional than anything else we had considered. Cheryl was easy to work with and made great recommendations based on our needs. She was able to maximize our storage space which was key while also creating a beautiful space that was exactly what we wanted! I would highly recommend working with her if you are considering any sort of layout redesign - it is definitely worth the money!

Cheryl HAS personality! Looking at her kitchen designs will confirm that. ALL of Cheryl's kitchens that I photographed bring a part of her to her work. It's never your standard kitchen design. She's great fun to work with and her work is a definite reflection of the talents and experience she brings to her projects.

It has been 5 years and still looks new. I love my dream kitchen. Cheryl helped me plan a terrific kitchen to work in, a truly gourmet space. She exceeded my expectations. We also did 2 bathrooms at the same time. We had no surprises and the project was completed on time. There is absolutely nothing I would have done differently. Thanks Cheryl.

I met with Cheryl D on July 11, 2014 to start the process of our kitchen remodeling project. Our last kitchen remodel was 20 years ago (see photos) and this time I decided to work with an interior designer. Cheryl spent almost three hours talking with me at her showroom about her thirty years of interior design experience, education, history, projects, staff, etc. We looked at samples in her showroom while discussing my needs and wants. It was an educational and entertaining discussion. I expect to see her completed design any day now. I feel her kitchen design will be efficient, beautiful, thoughtful and timeless. I look forward to working with her and her team.

I've worked with Cheryl for 2 projects; a kitchen, laundry, family room total rehab and recently a bathroom. What I love about Cheryl is she understands my vision. From the first time we meet and I tell her what I want she brings out the material and it's exactly what I would have selected myself.
