Curtis Smith had been working at Shaw Industries for about 8 1/2 years and his uncle, Burks Smith, had owned Quality Carpets in Red Bank for 25+ years. They joined forces and opened Choo Choo Carpets on Spears Avenue in downtown Chattanooga in October of 1996. Now his wife, Lesa, runs the business and has 2 great sales people, Sheree Benson and Les Spencer, that really make Choo Choo Carpets such a success.
