We had a very awkward experience. The initial meeting needed to be scheduled twice due to their schedule conflicts. Once the initial visit was over including a thorough examination/inspection/measurement/photography of the new deck space and surrounding area. We waited three weeks before financials were available. We were 'required' to visit their showroom to receive the estimate/proposal. The folder was very nicely prepared. However they added an additional $15,000 of additional work/ideas/concepts beyond what we asked to have done and not to the aesthetic of the project. Talk about instant upsell. Additionally they were unfamiliar and unaware with the material (Timber-tech) that we requested. Their quote was was substantially higher than anyone else based on what we requested. Days after leaving we were called back offering a reduced price. I felt like I was bargaining for a used vehicle...not landscape work. Needless to say we were not a match for this deck /patio/garden expansion.

We were happy with Surroundings from start to finish. Very professional, transparent and turnkey. We did a paver patio, new deck with Azek decking, landscaping, stone path/steps, separate deck coating, house repairs. Quality materials and staff. Always in touch when necessary but not obtrusive. I really appreciated Bill’s desire to listen and understand what we wanted before starting an estimate and showing pictures to provide ideas.

Surroundings built an exposed aggregate patio edged with travertine. A sitting wall, fire pit and privacy wall were built in Indiana limestone and topped with travertine. They enclosed our grill and built a pergola. Lighting was built into the sitting and privacy walls as well as the pergola. They landscaped the backyard around the patio and put a stone pathway from the driveway to the patio. Randy and Craig were very good about communicating with us and frequently stopped by to see how things were progressing. We love our new patio and wish we had done it sooner.

Randy and his team designed an outdoor living area that exceeded our expectations and has a "wow" factor on everyone that visits. His team built a huge Pergola that worked in random with our magnolia tree. They built a large fire pit and surrounded it with bench seating. The final pieces were 2 privacy panels made from stainless steel with intricate patterns cut into them.

I would highly recommend Surroundings by Natureworks for all your home improvements and landscaping! We had our master bathroom and kitchen remodeled. Randy and his men were polite, informative, did excellent work, and met all expectations. After having a vey bad experience with a previous contractor, I was very apprehensive in hiring someone to do our remodeling. Randy was an honest, respectable and a dedicated businessman. It was a pleasure working with him in transforming our kitchen and bathroom into beautiful "surroundings". We also used Surroundings for our landscaping which was done to perfection. I can't say enough about Surroundings by Natureworks.

Randy and his crew were incredibly diligent in designing and completing a master bathroom en suite for my home. It's an older home and the space was limited, but they found creative and compelling ways to maximize the use of the space we did have. It is by far the best room in the house now, and I plan to rely on Surroundings for future inside and outside landscape projects.

Randy and the subcontractors completed all aspects of the job in a very professional manner. The quality of the workmanship was excellent. We were so pleased with the work they performed on our deck that we hired them to also remodel our home. Randy and all of the workers were very pleasant and supportive. Randy and the designer were very helpful in making all of the many decisions that go into a home remodeling and building a deck.

Randy and Eric provided us with a beautiful design for our backyard that incorporated all of our wishes and then Adam followed through with a great final product - new porch, pergola over dining area and separate seating area with water feature and a fire pit. In addition, Adam turned a screened in porch to a four season room. They were professional, communicated well, cleaned up daily and went above and beyond with getting the city to approve the change to a four season room.
