We hired Chris to do an upgrade to our 90's ranch style home. To say we were pleased with his work is an understatement. Chris is an artist in his field. His attention to every little detail was impressive. He was patient with us as we worked to get the exact design as we were hoping for. We had him tear out 3 walls, add 1 window, replace 1 window, design our kitchen, and change out our trim and doors to craftsman style. He was extremely timely, hitting every deadline he set. The best part, every night we came home the dust was gone. He kept things as tidy as possible for us during the remodel, as he knew we were living in the basement. It is my pleasure to recommend Sawdust Carpentry Services. Our experience working with Chris was quite simply outstanding. Not only was Chris always on time and always prepared for whatever the job required, he was a consummate professional, skilled craftsman and, most importantly, an ingenious and savvy problem solver. The project was replacing main support beams for a 30' expanse on an exterior deck. This required Chris deconstructing the deck joists, handrails, skirting, etc. and support the entire deck during the project. As Chris discovered, deck was originally poorly constructed, problematic and in need of serious improvement. Chris’s ability to evaluate the many problems and offer sound, creative solutions constantly amazed me. Chris truly saw what others might call “a setback” and an opportunity to make an improvement. Everything he touched was improved by his conscientious approach and uncompromising standards. The original estimate Chris presented was accurate both from a cost and time standpoint despite a few extras he threw in. The construction site was always clean and safe. Lastly, my wife and I found Chris to be enjoyable, friendly and an all around good guy. There was never a moment that we questioned our decision to have Chris work for us and, in fact, we felt so fortunate and thankful to have Chris on the job.

Chris served as our general contractor for our kitchen remodel, which included plumbing, drywall work, electrical, refinished floors and new cabinets. He was fantastic from the beginning of the project to the end. He had good suggestions, showed up on time, communicated well throughout the project, had knowledge of local suppliers (including wholesalers that we wouldn't have found), lined up his own subs, made sure their work was complete and completed the entire job on budget. We enjoyed working with and getting to know Chris over the course of the project. He is very much a craftsman, and very detail oriented, which was important to us. If needed, he took the time to make things look right. We had a great experience, highly recommend him and would definitely hire him for a future project.

Chris Aydlott of Sawdust Carpentry built a two-sided entertainment center for us which included openings for the TV and stereo components, along with drawers and shelves for our family room on the front side of the piece, with cabinets on the back side which provided for entry/storage in the dinette area. He built and assembled the cabinet off site and brought it into our home for the installation. The wood was stained perfectly to match the other woodwork and cabinetry in the home. It turned out beautifully. The work was done to our satisfaction and the work area was left in a clean and orderly condition. We know him to be honest, dependable, professional and very considerate of our needs. Right from the initial quote to the final outcome, the degree of professionalism shown by Chris was outstanding. He takes tremendous pride in his craft, and his work is meticulous. We would not hesitate to recommend Chris to any potential clients regardless of the size and type of renovation desired. Sawdust Carpentry has completed a number of jobs for me from concept and design right through to completion. It is very unique to find one individual that can understand what you are looking for, help you design it, put together a project plan, and execute with style and respect leaving the job finished even better than you had hoped for. There is a lot of PRIDE going into his work and that counts for a lot in my book. I personally look no further when my custom home is ready for improvements because I know that Chris is fair and honest, he has not let me down in the past and that he cares so much about the quality of his work.

I have known Chris and his Wife, Julie for nearly 15+ years. In that time Chris and I have worked on a number of Real Estate projects that needed Chris' help to re-market. I hired Chris to renovate an office space for me. He was very professional, respectful and most definitely hard working. He was always on time and is very reliable. Chris' experience really showed in the quality of work he did for me, especially the hardwood floors, which exceeded all of my expectations. He went over and above to help me with projects he really didn't need too. There was no 'surprise' with regards to the bill for the finished job.
