The Cozy Cottage

I have had the good fortune to be acquainted with Deb Hannon of The Cozy Cottage for about 15 years, during which time she has provided professional technique on six of my counted cross stitch stockings. Each stocking ranges between 45K to 65K stitches, and she creates the edge beading, loop, and the reverse of the stocking. Each of the stockings have been entered in the Creative Arts competition over the years, at the Minnesota State Fair, viewed by the public for the 10 day Fair. I have been awarded First Place through Fourth Place ribbons for all exhibits. I highly recommend Deb for her attention to detail and pleasant manner for customer service.

Deb from Cozy Cottage is an excellent designer. She is excellent with color and has excellent design ideas. I really enjoy working with Deb is always available even to answer a quick question. I would highly recommend her.

I've had several highly productive sessions with Deb now. She has been both very professional and extremely likable. She has demonstrated an uncanny ability to choose materials that are exactly what I want before I know I want it. She has also graciously accommodated my unique needs for scheduling and collaboration. My house is going to drip both sophistication and comfort while being MY house.

So heartbroken about this as I likes Deb and her ideas were great But. I paid n Feb for chairs that are not yet here! Now she will not take. My calls or take delivery of a certified letter Now what? A complete turn around for how previous service was.

Im a local picture framer. Deb had me make a large custom double frame for a bathroom mirror. I had it done in a week. Took her almost 2 months to come and pick it up. When she did, she wrote me a rubber check for the frame. Said her account was hacked and that she thought the funds were there. Said she would get me cash that week, that week came and gone. She wont return my calls or texts. Do not waste your time with this con artist!!! Frustrated!!

Unreliable, not trustworthy, price and time overruns. Cancelled or late for every appointment. Almost everything was wrongfully measured, had to be done over. Very unprofessional. We are currently suing her because after canceling a order to have her recover our couch after so many other problems, she will not return our money and even lied to our attorney. Hired in June to have project done by our 50th anniversary in Oct. now December and still having problems. Do not hire. Terrible experience with her. H

My husband and I had a horrendous experience with Deborah. We too were met with one delay after another. All her excuses were catastrophes; car accident, punctured the upholstery when she was loading our chairs for deliver which required her to order more fabric. It was almost ridiculous. We were reupholstering two accent chairs and were told it would take 2-3 weeks. The chairs were picked up the end of August, they were returned to us the first week in December. We are typically gracious people, but we weren't sure what to believe. Very disappointing.

I do not recommend The Cozy Cottage! I invested a lot of money and was met with delay upon delay. I ordered blinds for my living room. It took her three attempts and a quick fix of binding them with tape before they actually fit. I sent chairs for her to recover in the spring of 2013 and finally received the last two in January of 2014. She would tell me she would deliver them and then make an excuse (I couldn't get my son's truck) why she did not deliver them or why I could not pick them up. One was so poorly done - with crooked trim and staples in plain view - I rejected it and rather than return my money she gave me a "credit". She recovered two sconce shades which have now fallen apart. If you want quality work done in a reasonable amount of time do not hire The Cozy Cottage.
