This is the third time that we have had Jim/Coachman Painting paint our house in the nearly 20 years that we have lived here. Unfortunately, and due to no fault of Jim, the wood siding on our house does not hold paint for longer than 7-8 years. We originally hired Jim after observing his work on another house in the neighborhood. We were impressed then, and continue to be, with the amount of time and effort that Jim spends on preparing the house before he applies paint. Jim continues to spend significant time in preparation (power washing, applying mildewcide, scraping, sanding, priming and caulking) ensuring that the surface is in the best condition to accept paint. Jim continues to provide outstanding service at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend Jim and Coachman Painting.

Jim did an excellent job painting my home office. He showed up at my house when he said he was going to. He painted my home office on a Saturday which was a great help to me. He did a great job of prepping my wall before painting. He helped me move the heavy furniture and did a great job of cleaning up. The walls were dry and they took 3 coats to cover the previously darker color. I would hire Jim for another painting project.

We have hired Jim many times for both inside and outside painting jobs and have never been disappointed. He does a meticulous job,, arrived when expected and very timely in completing the job. He is conscientious and takes pride in workmanship.

Jim did a great job taking on a very difficult paint job. Jim painted a dark wood plank and beam ceiling in our large family room. The ceiling had originally been varnished and then gray washed. It was dark and the pine knots and holes had to be filled. It took Jim 2 under coats, a lot of patching and finally 2 coats of paint to make the ceiling a smooth creamy white. He completed the job by painting the walls working around the freshly painted woodwork and beams around the room. The work was flawless. I would not hesitate to recommend Jim, in fact I have an estimate from him for our kitchen.

We hired Jim to paint our house. Great job. Looks great. He was easy to work with, very meticulous and thorough, and the job was completed on time. No surprises. One of the best contracting experiences we’ve had! Would certainly hire him again.

I hired Jim Lehtola during 2013-2015 to do many remodeling projects in my home and I am so pleased with the quality of his workmanship. He is professional, has a strong work ethic, and a fine eye for detail. Here is a short list of remodeling projects that Jim did for me. •Opened the space between my kitchen and living area by converting a pass-through window into an arched wall. • Applied knockdown ceiling texture throughout my house and painted all interior walls • Installed and painted new baseboard trim throughout my house • Installed and painted new interior doors, replaced and updated matching trim, and replaced door handles. • Redesigned my master bedroom closet by creating false walls and installing French doors. • Re-insulated, sheet rocked, taped, and painted interior walls that had been gutted for mold and a rodent’s nest.
