Dana Schock and Associates

Dana Schock was brilliant from start to finish. Our project consisted of rebuilding a massive retainer wall, making a new pool house, building numerous small retainer walls, along with redoing every square inch of our property grounds. Being our first project of this magnitude, we certainly had jitters. Dana calmly walked us through with grace. He finds a great balance between what the client want and what he knows from experience. We worked with Dana on the design, bidding and job management. He excelled in all three areas. Dana always followed through on timelines and meetings. Face to face meetings were pleasant and productive. He would often swing by the job (almost daily) and check to make sure it was on track even for the smallest of details. We highly recommend Dana Schock for your landscape design. Some interesting notes on our project with Dana Schock. 1) We used as much reclaimed material as possible, which Dana was really into. 2) We live on a steep hill, which made the project more intense, but Dana helped us work around that and make the best with what we had. 3) Dana was very budget sensitive and would only recommend an upgrade if it was meaningful. 4) We live in a tight community and Dana (along with the builder) did everything he could to respect our neighbors during the work.

We have used Dana and his firm for two big projects, one in Wayland, MA and the other in Portsmouth, RI. Dana's design work is superlative, installing landscaping that fits into the surrounding area and that can withstand some tough weather conditions as exist in our house in Portsmouth, which sits on a hill overlooking Narragansett Bay. Each of his projects generates rave reviews from neighbors and visitors. He has been extremely easy to work with and meets deadlines and budgets. We need a few more stars to truly measure his performance.

Dana Schock and Company did the site development and landscaping plan for our new custom-built home. This was a big and fairly challenging assignment and the results were outstanding. It is three years since the initial work was completed and we are as delighted with the results now as we were the day the work was completed. We would use Dana again without hesitation.

We have known and worked with Dana Schock for over 10 years. he has transformed our property from a wooded two-acre lot into a dream land of amazing hardscaping and landscape with lifestyle spaces all over the yard. When the kids were young, it started with a secret garden, playhouse and climbing structures, as we all got older we expanded, into outdoor living with cooking, bar, hot tub, and amazing dining seating.
