Kettle Construction, Inc. has been serving clients since 1984. We specialize in custom building projects; we do high quality work and have exceptional construction management skills. Our three decades of experience have helped us learn to tackle the unique challenges that you will face when you build on the Monterey Peninsula. We are willing to take-on a wide range of jobs, from renovating historic homes, to constructing houses that have one-of-a-kind specifications. We even act as remodeling contractors in Carmel; when we are done in your home it will be updated and beautiful. Kettle Construction promises a lot and doesn't keep his word. For months nothing happens. He lied to us repeatedly and blamed third parties for the delay when it was his responsibility as general contractor to keep the project moving. Make sure to put a time frame into contract with enough penalties to make him move. To get a bid in writing from him is as challenging as to get him stay true to his word. Make sure you have a contract written in stone and checked by your lawyer before you commit to him as general or sub for any work.

We came on to try to help clear up 6 pages of Red Tag notices issued by the Building Department. All the work was done by the owner that led to the Red Tags. Their previous contractor cleared zero items up in a years time.
We got three permits issued and got power restored to the house.
We terminated our contract due to an inability to work with the owner.

Dave Kettle did a great job on our renovation. They were professional and the work was first class. I wouldn't hesitate to use Kettle again.

Dave was right on top of the construction of a 2 bd.-2 ba. house. He has 5-6 very skilled (and invested) carpenters. His and his crew's attention to detail and materials and thoughtfulness about options were excellent. Very fair, reasonable and absolutely trustworthy. I would hire him again without hesitation.

I hired Kettle Construction for a small, yet complex, backyard workshop project. David was knowledgeable and fast. He did excellent work. I was surprised with the ease that he took on the project and the quality with which it was completed. I plan on hiring him again in the future for a small, then another larger remodel.

Dave Kettle is an outstanding local contractor who has done superior work not only for me, but for many of my very knowledgeable, and very particular, real estate clients. His work is outstanding. From the beginning to the end of any project, large or small, Dave is present for his clients, communicates well, understands the need to be flexible with potential changes and keeps to his planned schedule. I can recommend Dave, after 20 years of knowing him as a friend and a professional, with gold stars. He is a local expert with a helpful attitude, wonderful resources and a very pleased array of past clients, friends and other professionals.
