My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

About Us

At Delano Designs our mission is to create beautiful, healthy, and functional homes that make our clients feel good. We do this by paying close attention to budget, while providing options for materials that are eco-friendly, healthy, and sustainable. Our goal is to create these interiors in the spirit of collaboration and open communication by offering a wide variety of services. From an hour or two of consultation regarding design and materials, to designing a complete remodel or new construction, we have options that meet every budget and a multitude of different needs. Specialties: We specialize in green design and work to stay current in this area. In addition to providing options for new, sustainable, and healthy items for the home or workplace, we can also help to redesign existing furniture, or start from scratch and design new pieces of furniture or cabinetry to fit your space perfectly. Beyond Interior Design: Expanding on our love of beautiful spaces, we have also created two original lines of items for the home. Delano Design Home focuses on unique, 100% organic cotton home decor items such as throw pillows, pillowcases, table linens, and more; while Delano Designs Baby is a line of 100% organic cotton baby and toddler bedding and features everything parents need in order to create the perfect space for their little one. Alison is wonderful to work with! She cheerfully took on a small project (refreshing my living room and dining room furniture) to help me get my home looking its best for an upcoming family event. When it looked like one of our suppliers was not going to meet my timeline, she went above and beyond to work with the company to make sure my piece would arrive on time. I'm so grateful for her efforts, particularly because this was a relatively small project. I will definitely hire Alison again when I have another design need. In addition to being easy to work with and providing excellent customer service, she helped me find great pieces in my price range that I just love!

I found Delano Design online and am so glad I did. Alison Kelly was the best thing that happened to my house. She was able to use what I had, add some selected items, including some furniture, light fixtures and rugs and make it so comfortable. She brought in color and continuity and never forgot who we were and how we lived in the house. My husband, who generally doesn't take much interest in these things, was impressed too. To top it off we went green with fabric, paint, window coverings, and more. I couldn't be happier!

I have done two major projects with Alison. My first project was a total kitchen remodel. Alison worked very closely with me to go through my entire kitchen and utilize the space in the most useful arrangement. She was easy to work with, had lots of great ideas and was willing to work with me to fine tune the project to incorporate my ideas, and make them better using her design knowledge and experience. My second major project most recently was a complete remodel of two small space bathrooms, one was my master bath and the other a 1/2 bath off my living room. We took the small master bath space and made it feel so much bigger without moving any walls or changing the foot print of the room. Alison kept me on track as I picked out materials and reminded me what would work best in the space, while we worked back and forth to create a space that worked for me. Alison kept the theme consistent across the project, working with my cabinet maker to “push” him a bit on the design because it was something he had not done before. In the end both the cabinet maker and I were super pleased with the way the bathroom project turned out... even though my cabinet maker originally was resistant to our idea for the cabinet we had him make. My main point is that Alison will go the distance to work out the details and make sure they all come together in a unified way to make the final project look fantastic.

Commented: Luxury vinyl plank flooring smell?I do not recommend laminate or carpet unless its wool either. This also has to do with the production and materials used in manufacturing. Does this mean my clients never use these products no, but I ...
