After purchasing a new-construction home on a large unfinished lot, we interviewed six contractors, regarding potential landscaping options and pool/spa installation. We selected the DeMaria Landtech team, based on design, price, and range of service, and were exceptionally pleased with all aspects of the experience, including the following:
1.Outstanding communication — John DeMaria personally answered each of our questions and was incredibly efficient in replying to texts, e-mails, and calls, on a real-time basis. He stayed in regular communication with us at every step and continually advised us about the project's upcoming phases.
2.Comprehensive depth — Landtech has its own designer/horticulturist, which streamlines the planning phase. Also, because the company has its own pool-plastering division, John does not have to coordinate with a separate pool subcontractor. Pool and spa installation can have a significant impact on the schedule (due to the time required for digging, applying shotcrete, placing tiles and coping, and plastering the surface), so it is extremely helpful that these steps are synchronized in-house.
3.Consistent professionalism — John offers a friendly, hassle-free approach. He presented various material options in an easygoing, matter-of-fact manner, always within the financial scope of the contract (no debates or hidden costs), and the design was executed to our complete satisfaction, right down to the final punch list.
4.Strong reputation and emphasis on reliability — There is a reason Landtech is rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau; namely, the team is motivated, diligent, talented, and reliable. Despite at least a week of rain delays, the crew stayed on task and completed our project in a timely fashion, maintaining a courteous, helpful attitude throughout. John places considerable trust in his team and treats them with respect, and they return the favor.
5.Consideration and competence — When we interviewed contractors, certain horticultural and architectural bids we received seemed more aligned with the planners' preferences than ours. The DeMaria team, on the other hand, incorporates a client-first perspective in every element of the work. John's designer/horticulturist, Gary, kept our preferences the primary focus of the project, taking scale into account and skillfully combining our requests with his knowledge (of soil type, sun exposure, and planting zones), to provide a thoughtful, aesthetically pleasing, low-maintenance design that optimized our initial input.
6.Robust quality — John's aim is to offer a competitive price based on production of the highest caliber. He utilizes dependable Caterpillar equipment, superior building materials, and expert engineering/construction methods, with long-term durability in mind.
7.Extensive follow-through — The Landtech team ensures that all aspects of the project are completed with thoroughness and attention to total client satisfaction, start to finish.
We are greatly appreciative of DeMaria Landtech's efforts on our project and the excellent on-time, on-budget results — we highly recommend the company!
