I’ve depended on Letitia at Design Tile for three separate projects over the past 8 years. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Her eye and judgement are spot-on!

Both Susan and Letitia were instrumental in pulling together the right tiles and colors for our basement wet bar project. We just gave them some ideas of things we liked and what colors we were working around and wow .... they created a magic! We love our new space and loved working with them to bring it all together. They were like a general contractor in that they put us together with all the right people -both cabinet and granite installers. It was so easy - and now we say CHEERS to them from our new bar!

They have great customer service, product, and knowledge. I’ve been to most tile resources in the DMV and thankfully, found Design Tile with whom I started working around 2013. They advised and helped coordinate tiles, remembered that I wanted to use same tiles years later in another space, and alerted me that those tiles were being discontinued. They are an unusual resource that’s not typical of the generic high or middle end in the D.C. region.

I worked with a wonderful design expert name Susan Hurdle. She expertly walked me through which tile would be the best for our house aesthetic, lifestyle and took her time to discuss options.

Wonderful people to work with. Professional and full of helpful tips and idea’s. They took their time working with us. No pressure sales was delightful. Not to mention, it just was a joy to work these folks.

In what was otherwise a disastrous kitchen renovation project, my experience with Design Tile was superb. I'm stingy in doling out 5 star reviews, but Design Tile earned mine every step of the way. I visited no fewer than EIGHT different tile shops in the DC area trying to find the "right" tile for my kitchen backsplash. The store is off the beaten path, and the showroom can feel a bit overwhelming...but that's actually a good thing because it means more options. Design Tile--and specifically Susan--did a few things that were great. First, they offered great advice with respect to my color palette and needs. Many tile shops used the hard sales approach and seemed intent on trying to sell me something, but Design Tile found me multiple options that really worked. Of my four tile finalists, three of them came from DT! Susan's trained eye clearly made the difference and meant that unlike other places, my time wasn't being wasted with bad options. Also, they were more than happy to let me take samples boards home. Some places are prickly about this, but DT wasn't. And after placing my order, they were responsive both via email and phone with both order status and advice. Susan even was helpful when I called her afterward for some advice on grout line sizing. There are a couple things to know so you aren't surprised by anything: * You'll pay a shipping fee, and since tile is heavy, that isn't cheap. You can save a little on this by a) offering to pick tile up at the store rather than having it shipped directly, and b) waiting (if you can) for them to bundle your order with another from the same manufacturer. * It's cash and check only. They have a system where you can do an electronic transfer from your savings or checking account too, but credit cards aren't an option. Design Tile is a boutique tile shop, so if you're looking for super cheap stuff ASAP, it might not be the place for you. However, if you want a great experience and to end up with tile that you're love, make them your first stop.

I am a designer and I have worked with Design Tile for years. I would highly recommend Design Tile. The staff is knowledgably and Susan the manager of the showroom is beyond professional. She will work every angle to come up with the vision that you want. Numerous times I have brought in a picture of what I would like to do for a client without knowing the tile/stone selection and she has taken the time to track down the source and find what I am looking for. Susan is also wonderful with working with all types of contractors and installers along with my clients. I can't imagine going anywhere else in the DC Metro area for my clients tile selections.

Design Tile Inc. was able to help us complete our bathroom project due to their extensive tile selection. We had visited many other companies for a specific tile and they were the only ones able to find what we were looking for. I will highly recommend them to anyone seeking the best in tiles. Design Tile is a first-rate tile company conveniently located in the heart of Tysons. The designers are completely knowledgeable about every aspect of their business and go the extra mile in working with us and our clients. Design Tile has the most extensive selection of materials in the DC Metro area. The entire showroom is arranged by color which translates into a more efficient selection process for each project. Everyone employed by Design Tile is a designer by trade and has an extensive working knowledge of hard surface materials and the proper application for each individual product. The designers are a pleasure to work with and give one hundred percent in effort and consideration to each job whether it be large or small in scope. My highest recommendation is extended to this extraordinary company.
