We hired Dmitri once again to renovate a home we purchased for our daughter who suffers with Hyperacusis. Dmitri began by researching the affliction to fully understand the situation and then developed a plan. We gutted the house to the studs, and then added soundproof insulation and soundproof drywall. We replaced existing windows with triple glazed to improve sound quality as well as replacing exterior doors with soundproof doors. Radiant floor heating and sound absorbing duct work for the AC system were installed. We then completely renovated and soundproofed the bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room. Dmitri also installed glass block windows in the bathrooms, nice touch. We installed new flooring and baseboards also new solid interior doors and trim throughout the house. The stairs were upgraded and new banisters installed. We took two smaller bedrooms and combined them into one large master with tons of closet space, again completely soundproofed. All during this project, Dmitri’s was constantly concerned “by doing this, how would it improve the sound absorbing quality of the house”. He organized every step so there was never a “down time”. Dmitri’s work was impeccable. Everyone who dropped by during and after the reno were amazed by the quality and attention to detail (especially in the cabinetry). I had a pantry cupboard in my kitchen that was falling apart and was redone by Demas Woodworx. This cupboard perfectly matches the other cabinets but functions so much better with sliding drawers instead of shelves. Great attention to detail! Very pleased with the work and cleanup.

We have used Dmitri over several years to complete our home renovations. Dmitri renovated our basement and upstairs including bedrooms, walk in closets, washrooms, hallways, staircases and bannisters. He also replaced windows and patio doors. DISPLAY SHELVES REPLACE OUTDATED BOOKSHELVES This family room project had three parts to it: 1. to repurpose stand-alone bookshelves; 2. to replace a fireplace mantel; 3. to build in contemporary lit display shelves. 1. Originally, two tall stand-alone book shelves with drawers stood on either side of the fireplace. Each bookshelf was cut in half. New tabletops were added to the lower halves. The end result? Two more practical bookshelves and two TV stands with drawers! 2. A more contemporary fireplace mantel replaced the outdated one. The mantel was stained to match an existing piece in the room. The mantel is now ideal for a row of candles or flower arrangements. 3. Display shelves with deep pull-out drawers were built in on either side of the fireplace. The shelves are made of tempered glass to safely hold heavier art pieces. The drawers are perfect for storing seasonal accessories and games. LED lights include a convenient remote dimmer that works up to 30' away. Once again, Demas Woodworx has exceeded my expectations!
