I could not be happier with the experience of working with Vermont Fine Woodworking. Edwin is an artist. He is thoughtful, communicative and collaborative. We went through many iterations of a completely new kitchen in a very old house with uneven floors and walls and other hurdles. Edwin was imaginative, patient and brilliant. The job was done on schedule and on budget and he is a pleasure to work with. An absolute pro and a really nice guy whose work is exceptional.

Ed Young, owner and master carpenter of Vermont Fine Woodworking, has completed four projects for my house: a stairway of maple and cherry, two bathroom vanities including a built in storage wall, and a complete kitchen. His work is superb and I am more than happy with all four of these projects that he has made. He gives an accurate estimate, and completes the work in a timely manner. His design ideas and suggestions are excellent and he is willing to work with the client to make it possible to have an affordable yet elegant result. I have enthusiastically recommended him to several friends for their various cabinetry projects.

We hired Ed to design, build, and install kitchen cabinets and island for our newly remodeled cottage. It was a pleasure working with Ed throughout the process and we are delighted with the result. We especially enjoy the beautiful craftsmanship and many nice features including pull out drawers in the island cabinet, corner turntable and upper corner door for a tricky layout. The work was completed as quoted and on schedule. Ed was tidy, respected our space, and offered helpful suggestions during the process. We are pleased to offer the highest recommendation.

I worked with Edwin Young, owner of Vermont Fine Woodworking, on the design for my kitchen, bath vanity, closet shelving, and windowsills for my new small, energy efficient home. Edwin is very easy to work with and has great suggestions (when asked) which helped me a lot. Pricing was within budget, and everything was ready for installation right on time, actually he was ready before we were! I was (and still am) wowed by how beautiful the wood is. Each beautiful piece of wood used for the counter tops and island seem to have been handpicked for their variations in interesting grain, and the attention to details is outstanding. Draws slide effortlessly, shelving is beautiful and adjustable, and the wide windowsills are a dream. Very professional, beautiful work, within budget, and friendly - can't get much better than that!

Ed is professional, proficient, and one of the best craftsmen available in the NEK for custom woodworking. If you have the chance to work with Ed-do it! You will never regret hiring him for any project. He built my custom kitchen and loafing shed. He can do anything with ease.
