We have over twenty years experience in the structural side of residential design that enables us to design homes that work in the real world while minimizing your building costs. We want our customers to be delighted with the look and feel of their home and we want their builders to be delighted with the ease of construction. We have over twenty years experience in designing roof and floor systems as well as a lot of real world construction experience. We believe that experience in the practical side of construction is a tremendous advantage in saving you money on your new home. We were pleased with the prompt work Mark Otto did on our print and his willingness to work with the changes we made from time to time on house plans.He was very detailed on the print....and very knowledgeable about the building codes and the whole building process itself.

Mark has started working with me on several projects and he has been great to work with, He listens well to mine and the owner's ideas and is able to come up with some great designs and floor plans. He also has the ability to provide high quality 3D renderings for the project quickly and at an affordable price which allows the client to see different options of exactly what the project will look like ,and allows both the client and myself to make smarter ,more cost effective decisions before finalizing designs and floor plans . Mark was recommended to us by a local lumber company. He was fantastic to work with. He was very patient as we worked through different options for our house plan. He had great recommendations and let us know what would work and what wouldn't. He helped us to get exactly what we wanted out of the house plan while staying within the guidelines that we provided. He was extremely quick and efficient. He is also very reasonably priced compared to many other places and the quality is unbeatable. We would highly recommend him!

I called Mark at Elm Town Design to help design a home we wanted to build. We had a general idea of what we wanted but needed help. Mark came to my house and did a great job of asking what our overall vision was and what was important. He provided a first recommendation and made multiple changes as we finalized the plans. He came up with an excellent design that is ealxactly what we were looking for. I would recommend Mark to anyone needing help deaigning a home.

The plans are always designed structurally sound and work. The plans usually have a "cut through" which is very helpful in grasping concept and designing the structure per intent. I have worked on several Elm Town plans; I highly recommend.

We hired Mark on recommendation of our builder who had worked with him before. We met Mark in person once, and gave him our graph paper drawn house plan. He then (over about 4 weeks) developed an accurate, buildable version. Through phone conferences (we live out of town) we made a number of changes as Mark explained the realities of trusses and windows and such, and through this very collaborative effort we came up with a final plan. Along the way we asked for modifications, some structural and some more cosmetic, and Mark readily accommodated us, while advising us on the pros and cons of each step. Mark alerted us as we approached our budgeted total for blueprint development, and we agreed we had reached a good final plan. Mark then provided us and our builder with a link for the blueprints and plan. We are pleased with the results!

We asked Mark to draw the plans for our new house and detached garage construction. We gave him a photo of a house and a garage we liked and he was able to duplicate them while also adding a few changes that were different than the pictures. Mark is very polite, professional, and patient. He worked with us very well on making changes to the interior layouts. His final product includes detailed color drawings that are perfect for giving to the builder and contractors. He even provided a color picture of the house sitting on our building site.
