Emerald City Construction & Renovations

We hired Emerald City Construction in March of 2022 and they were off and running in September of 2022. We had been researching contractors for our potential addition since 2019. Out of all the GCs we interviewed, we kept on coming back to ECC and man, we are sure glad we went with them! They helped us secure a very competent and reliable architect to help our dreams come to life. We added a 600 square foot addition onto our existing home that provided our family with a Master bedroom + bathroom, a new laundry room, an additional bedroom and 600 feet of crawl space for storage under the new addition. Working with our architect and Alena (in house interior designer) we were able to come up with something that fit into the somewhat tight budget we had. They worked with us every step of the way to make sure we didn’t go over our budget finding innovative solutions to help make everything work. They do a lot of the work themselves which helps cut down on costs to us and all the subcontractors they hired were excellent, and perfectionists like the Emerald City team. They kept within our budget and there weren’t any surprise costs/fees at any point in time. I cannot say enough good things about Dmitry, Eric & the rest of the team. They were truly partners throughout this whole project; super responsive, understanding and willing to find innovative, yet costly solutions to meet our needs. We have heard about SO many nightmares about GCs and are so fortunate to find a company/team that truly cares about the customer and will do anything to make sure everything is up to par no matter the size of the project. We will definitely be hiring them for any other home remodel project we are planning. This was a JOURNEY, and we are so HAPPY we chose Emerald City Construction! This is our first time building our very own brand new custom home! We interviewed ~10 companies and Emerald City Construction was the best fit. The deciding factor was knowing that Emerald's in-house team can take care of a lot of the work needed so it helped us tremendously in being able to communicate our vision as well as cost control. For example, our curved staircase was quoted a separate additional cost of $150K to the house by another company (we were blown away!) and Emerald City delivered it within a fair labor/material cost for notably less expense to us. Being a realtor in Bellevue, I know this staircase and the added view we achieved after building gave us so much more value and equity to our house! Building isn't easy. It is a big endeavor that will come with challenges, so it is wonderful to have a good partner in this with you. If you've been spending a lot of time looking for a contractor, you can stop searching now because you simply will not find a better group to work with than Emerald City. And if they're booked up for a few months, wait. They're that good. We just completed a massive remodel with Emerald City and we can't say enough good things about the entire team. The project included the kitchen, bathrooms, tile work, flooring, new doors/trim/paint, new gas fireplace, custom mantle - the whole shabang. Taking on a project this size is incredibly difficult and we felt we had a partner in Emerald City, not just a contractor, from start to finish. Emerald City Construction ROCKS. They did a whole house remodel for us and we could not be happier. I did a lot of research and interviewed multiple companies before going with Emerald City. From their initial estimate to final completion, their business practices and workmanship were top notch.
