Empire Landscaping did our project in three parts as our house was built and completed. The first was the complete design for the property including the extensive Japanese Garden in the back. The second phase involved the planting of front and side yards and part of the back including a rock wall. The third part took place late this spring and summer. This part included the Japanese garden in the back with water feature, rock steps, lanterns,and plantings. Empire does not do fast work. However, the finished project is excellent. So the wait has been orth it. We are very happy with the planning and plantings that were completed last summer. The one year in the ground time frame shows the excellent design and how mature the plantings look to complement the house. The newer part is lovely, calming, and beautiful at night with the low voltage lighting in the Japanese lanterns. I hope that the plants will thrive and grow like the previous plantings did so that next year we can say that we were still very happy with the results. This season weather has been a challenge with extreme wetness in May and June and utter dryness in July and so far in August. It has been a challenge to find the right amount of time to operate the drip season to best get the new plantings acclimated to this environment. Right now I would highly recommend the design work done in phase one as well as the execution of phase two. However, I will give a great job and recommended to the third phase until I see how well the plants grow in. Empire does stand behind their work, replacing plants that have not made it through the Montana winter. Overall, I am vey happy to have selected them because the design was outstanding and the overall execution has been very good. What we envisioned and discussed in the planning process is what has been brought to reality in the completion of the project.

At this point, I have hired Empire for tree relocation a number of times as well as design services. We are still in the planning stages of a unique courtyard Japanese style garden but are still super excited by the plans put forth this far.
