We moved from a traditional house to a brand new 2bedroom + den suite and wanted a completely new look that was more modern, simpler and pared down without being cold and sterile. We chose Sophia after interviewing two other decorators. We are extremely pleased with our choice. Besides being very professional and creative, one of her best qualities is her ability to listen. We know what we like but doubted our skill to pull it all together. Sophia helped us to make 'our' vision a reality through thoughtful guidance and suggestion. In some instances, for example lighting, we relied totally on her. She isn't afraid to mix high and low, incorporate items important to us but perhaps not 'on trend' and to meld the whole into a fabulous living space. We are thrilled with the results. As a side benefit, we learned a lot about design and decorating and gained confidence in our own ability along the way. Plus, for a project that could have been very stressful, it was great fun.

We required some demolition and structural changes for this project. Sophia hired the appropriate professions, oversaw every aspect of the changes and the result is a perfectly designed and finished home. As seniors we appreciated that we have a safe, functional Environment, and did not scrimp on style. There is nothing I would change here, and everything was finished on time.

Sophia helped my wife and I create a vision for our new home. She was happy to work with our existing items and respected our wishes to source most items from a specific store that we support. She was great to deal with, often making changes to suit our finicky needs. Sophia has a great eye for design/decorating and we are so pleased with the results. It took some time to get her recommendations, and they came in at the top end of our budget, but it was all well worth the wait and price. We have not yet implemented all of her ideas, but definitely will over time. I would recommend LemonTree to anyone looking to create a high-end, finished look in their home.

Ahhh ... we need space for at least 10 stars in order to properly rate Sophia Reay and LemonTree & Co. We won the lottery when we found Sophia through the Houzz site. The project scope was to completely makeover a condo property that we had purchased for our parents (who are seniors) in a custom design and build project. The goal was to re-imagine and custom build out a new home that could support independent living for seniors, but also ensure a beautiful, personalized living experience for them. Sophia brought: - Impeccable taste and design aesthetic; - A real attention to detail; - Absolute focus on ensuring that function and form were matched to the living requirements of her clients; - Very caring, and clearly takes the time and effort to understand things from the eyes of her clients, so that she designs from the perspective of how they wish to live in the space; - Service oriented ... nothing was too big, or too small for Sophia to handle, all in the name of ensuring the "WOW" factor for her clients; - Cost conscious; a real bargain hunter, but always came up with interesting, unique solutions; - Completely trustworthy; My wife and I are based in a different city from the location of the condo, and we relied on Sophia and her crew to manage the entire project remotely. They met all timelines and budgets and were self managed, coming back to us when input was required, but working independently for the most part to get the job done. Said what they were going to do, and then did what they said. The outcome is an absolutely spectacular living experience, that has all all of the needs for independent living for seniors subtly designed in. At first glance, it's just a stunning apartment. After being in the space for a while, you start noticing all of the details that make independent living for seniors possible, from the width of hallways to accommodate someone with walking aids, to lowered countertops and light switches so that they are more accessible, well designed shower and bathrooms to support those with mobility challenges, widened steps and very discrete grab bars to ensure safety and security. All of that, in a stunning new condo. We couldn't be happier, and would absolutely welcome the opportunity to work with Sophia and her team again. Like I said ... ten stars !!!

Sophia exceeded my very high expectations - she is a pleasure to work with - her focus is listening to and meeting the needs of her clients. Our project was a complete rip and replace condo renovation. Sophia took the time to learn the personalities of the clients and what we needed and wanted the home to accomplish. Based on referrals from friends, we engaged LemonTree & Co for their E-Design service for design projects over the last two years. It is without any hesitation that we too would highly recommend this service and working with LemonTree. Why? • In one meeting Sophia accurately captured our style and desired design elements into a workable design. • The visual design enabled us to visualize the future state of our rooms complimented by the materials and samples provided (e.g., paint colour swatches, fixture suggestions, material samples, etc.). • The visual designs and renderings enabled construction considerations to be proactively addressed. This assisted in firming up project scope and obtaining initial contractor quotes. Once work was underway, the plans and renderings also enabled accurate communication between our contractor and their subcontractors ensuring they were on track and working in harmony with the overall design vision. We received many compliments from our contractors on how these designs made their work easier. After Sophia helped a friend of mine build a beautiful timberframe house in Deer Ridge, in 2009 I hired her to design a main floor renovation of our Doon Mills house. She immediately connected with my wife and I. We were comfortable with her process, happy with the results and her fee was reasonable. In 2013 we sold Doon Mills and began a new custom build on Puslinch lake. It was never a question that we would want Sophia services from day 1. This time she assisted us design the house from the ground up, inside and out. Scope of work was much bigger, and getting my wife and I on the same page was a challenge. We met Sophia 10 years ago when we were contemplating a new home build. We never did proceed with that project but immediately realized Sophia's value and potential to help us make our house feel like home. From large scale renovations involving design and layout to smaller jobs like arranging furniture and selecting paint, she is able to foresee how the design of a room affects the form and function of the space.
