We were looking at the Houzz website for ideas regarding our master bathroom renovations. That is where I found Evelyn’s Queens Quay project. We loved her design and obviously her condo experience. The whole process was easier than I expected. Evelyn found us an extraordinary contractor (Bramson Construction). Everyone respected and took good care of our home and condo common areas (the crew even cleaned their coffee cups!) and that did not go unnoticed. Just like any renovation project, there were inevitable time delays and material misestimates. But none of those were unusual in a condo setting, dealing with elevator reservations, etc. Everyone was communicative during the process and at the end, we got a gorgeous ensuite bathroom. It is exactly what we had envisioned and Evelyn actualized it flawlessly. Even our condo’s on-site staff were impressed with the design & workmanship and asked us to pass on the complement.

I first met Evelyn 14 years ago when she selected paint colours and other design elements for my new home. At the time, she was doing a television show, and I didn’t think she would be able to come for a consult due to her busy schedule. Evelyn made the time, which I was most appreciative of, and then worked with me, carefully considering my taste, style preference and budget, to produce a beautiful space. Working with her was a treat- a pleasure- as her heart is as big as her talent. I cannot recommend Evelyn highly enough. I lost track of her when she moved her store location (which was on Yonge Street, back in the day) and would not move ahead with new renovations until I found her again. She is a gifted designer- doing television appearances and writing for various design magazines- and gives 110% to her clients.

Our project included a redesign/rebuild of the kitchen, powder room, hallway, bedrooms, master bathroom and a 4pc bathroom on the second floor; including décor ideas and implementation after the construction/build was over. From the first meeting to the end of the project Evelyn was a joy to work with. She was inspirational, exceptional, a true professional and practical. She has impeccable taste and design ideas that can meet the any client's needs and budget. She was helpful with ideas, sources for material and sub contractors. More than once Evelyn went beyond the call of duty to manage the main contractor I had hired. The end result was sensational. When I listed the house for sale in 2014 buyers were in awe of the hose interior. She was a calming factor for me when contractors were late and showed amazing flexibility + quick decision making when we had to change plans as a result of contractors' mishaps. The project would not have been as successful (perhaps not completed) or enjoyable without Evelyn. Fantabolous! Cant wait for the next opportunity to leverage all her skills, passion and knowledge. My husband and I worked with Evelyn to design three new bathrooms and beautiful wall paneling (living/dining rooms) in the 14 year old home we recently purchased. What an amazing difference these new rooms have made to our enjoyment of the house! The Ensuite, "Jack & Jill" and Guest baths are all unique but equally beautiful. Evelyn was a delight to work with. She had great ideas but didn't impose "her way"; instead, she helped us to realize our vision in a way that respected our preferences while adding a lot of great suggestions and enhancements. She is dedicated to achieving a very good outcome while staying within budget. Evelyn has great professional contacts, suppliers, contractors, etc. that made the entire process go smoothly.
