Amy Herman was the Interior Designer for an extremely large renovation project of a Historic Property in the city of St. Louis. Not only were the design details of the entire space absolutely stunning; the entire project was managed with professionalism. She scheduled her sub-contractors with patience and precision and worked closely with the General Contractors and Owners to assure the project was successful. By using unique specialty painting techniques she brought the building (both interior and exterior) back to life. It is now used as a banquet/reception center and office space for a large IT firm. Gateway Interior Design has been outstanding in offering suggestions, as well as alternatives, for my foyer, living room, and dining room .... plus being able to highlight a very unique architectural feature in my kitchen. As a very conservative, senior citizen the choices of furniture and fabrics have been perfect for my needs. I am delighted!

We first hired Amy of Gateway Interior Design for a dining room project. During the initial consultation she asked a lot of questions and we discussed different ideas. Based on the information she received we next met to look at several different samples and recommendations that ranged from wall color to drapery samples, furniture, hardware, accessories, art and lighting, among others. Right away we loved the direction she was going and we began to finalize details. Often, Amy would show up with something that she said she thought would look good in the room and whether is was a small piece of furniture, a vase or some other accessory it was always a perfect fit. We were so please with the dining room project that we immediately had Amy start on remodeling my home office. I gave her a concept of "Colonial American/Thomas Jefferson" and she took the idea and ran with it. The same process as the dining room ensued and the result is awesome! My wife and I would have never had the vision, creativity or know-how to achieve the same results. In addition, Amy hires professional, skilled workers for all aspects of the job who arrive on time, are courteous and take great pride and care in their work. Amy has made me understand and appreciate the value of hiring a professional designer and she will be our first and only call when we are ready to upgrade another room.

Amy was wonderful to work with. She always had several choices for any of the options we were considering and was respectful of our budget. The rooms she did for us (first project was our dining room. Most recently she did my husband's home office) turned out beautifully, and I look forward to working with her again.
