We are totally satisfied with the wonderful care and service we got from Halifax Cabinetry when we renovated our kitchen. From the total gutting of the old kitchen to the finished shinny new kitchen, designer Monique Teniere was with us all the way. She was on top of all the new space-saving and work-saving cabinetry. Her design was functional, creative and innovative. She consulted with us on everything and didn't hard-sell if we didn't want something. Her partner Derek Mailman's, installation of the cabinets was so exacted and professional that it drew comments of approval from other workmen. Halifax Cabinetry have the highest standards. We enjoy them everyday in our fabulous kitchen.

Working with Monique at Halifax Cabinetry was fantastic. Our project started with the design of the kitchen in our new seaside country home, initially, and it grew from there- closets, bathroom vanities, laundry, mudroom and back pantry cabinetry, daybed, built-in den TV and shelving unit. The more we worked together, the more I wanted her design and craftsmen ship for the rest of the home. Monique incorporated all my requests with detail, creativity, and the careful consideration and communication of pricing and the odd delay. I also saw how well she worked with her team of carpenters and painters, and with our contractor- who was so relieved to have such a knowledgeable, compatible person to coordinate with his trades team. After doing a few smaller projects with Monique and Derek (referred by our friend), there was never any doubt that we'd call on them when the time came renovate our kitchen. Having worked with Halifax Cabinetry on a smaller project a few years before, we got to see firsthand the quality of craftsmanship and the customer experience that sets them apart. In addition to getting new cabinetry, our kitchen renovation included taking down walls, new flooring and adding large windows. Monique is an outstanding listener, a respectful communicator and a very skilled designer with a sharp eye for the little things that make a big difference. She took the time to work with us and truly understand our needs. The end result was a design plan that far exceeded our expectations. She recommended touches like having the new windows come almost all the way to the countertop so we could take in more of the beautiful views as well as recommending contrasting island and cabinetry colours for a nice contrast. Derek completed a swift and professional installation - on time- being mindful of every little detail. (Seriously, we have never seen such diligent work from beginning to end... and this was our 7th -and hopefully final- renovation!) Derek took such care during the installation. The drawers slide like they are on butter and the cabinet doors are straight and level, without exception. Not a thing is out of square. Very Impressive work ethic. A kitchen reno was a big investment for us and it was a positive experience from beginning to end. We didn't have a huge budget but Monique's design touches increased the value generated from this renovation and took it to a whole other level. We've been enjoying our kitchen for 4 months now and it means a lot that Monique, Derek and their team had a hand in this beautiful space where we will make so many family memories for years to come. When things come up, as they inevitably do on kitchen projects, they are just as professional and swift to respond. When we initially reached out for this project, it was going to be a few months before they could get us in their schedule since they are in high demand. As eager as we were, it was 100% worth the wait. We've seen firsthand how using Halifax Cabinetry has increased the value of our home (wish we had come across them on prior renovation projects!) We were first introduced to Halifax Cabinetry when we are seeking a solution for a tight vanity space. Derek and Monique had recently completed a gorgeous mud room for our neighbours and it felt like they would be just the right people to help us with this tricky project. Monique made great design recommendations and expertly nudged us slightly out of our comfort zone towards a slightly darker colour for the vanity - the colour choice turned out to be the best decision ever. Derek delivered a friendly and flawless installation with attention to detail that is rare these days. It should be noted that Monique and Derek make a great team. We have several renovations under our belt and Halifax Cabinetry's small by mighty team are professional beyond the norm and the quality is second to none. We would not hesitate to recommend them for custom work or larger projects. The trust was instant so we also ended up adding custom cabinets in our laundry room. Our project may have been smaller in comparison to some of the large custom projects they do but we we both felt strongly that we were treated as an important customer from beginning to end. Monique and Derek and their team were exceptional to work with in the design , fabrication and installation of our kitchen cabinetry. .I was introduced to their impressive talent and expertise when a friend built a beautiful new summer home. I decided to arrange to meet with Monique to discuss our families decision to renovate our kitchen/family room. We had been considering the renovation for a couple of years and I had previously met with two other cabinetry companies within the year but had not proceeded beyond an initial layout and price estimate as they didn't feel "right" in one way or another. I am a very intuitive and contemplative consumer. My initial meeting with Monique to present my ideas, share discussion about design layouts and choices and renovation budget was collaborative, easy and exciting. I felt like we were on the same page and she understood the function and design I was wishing to achieve. I knew from our first meeting the renovation was going to go ahead and Halifax Cabinetry was whom we would hire . I chose to work with them based on Monique's professionalism and personality , knowledge and years of experience with product and design. She returned to my home on several occasions and I went to their production facility and office a few times before the final design was agreed upon. I met Derek and his team as they were in production of another client's cabinetry. It was obvious the attention to detail and craftsmanship. Monique proceeded to set out designs and potential layouts and sent them to me for my input, approval or modification. She was extremely patient and professional during the creative , collaborative process to arrive at a design layout and features our family absolutely loves! Derek and his team constructed exceptional quality cabinets and their installation was expertly and timely completed and on budget. They were committed from beginning to end with ensuring we received the cabinetry and functional space we wanted. They worked seamlessly and with our contractor and our countertop company during installation. They are a unique and special company that felt like family We couldn't be happier with our new space and cabinetry! We recommend them without reservation.

We purchased a custom kitchen from Halifax Cabinetry for our kitchen renovation and my husband and I were very happy with the results!! Their customer service was excellent, the kitchen was ready on schedule, and they were very helpful and accommodating with some last minute changes that we wanted to make. Halifax Cabinetry just completed a kitchen for one of our homes in Glen Arbour. The end product is gorgeous! this was our first time using this company but they didn't disappoint us. From our initial meeting with Monique where she spent hours coming up with a design and figuring out the coffered ceiling issues, to Derek installing the cabinets - it went very smoothly. I'm a Decorator and Home Stager residing in Halifax N.S. When I wanted to have a unit built to house a murphy bed, a desk and to provide ample storage for our tiny second bedroom which functions as my office as well as a music/relaxation and guestroom, it was a no brainer that I hire HALIFAX CABINETRY. Their kitchens and wall units grace many a home here in the Halifax Regional Municipality. I had a design in mind that Monique helped me fine tune. Their workmanship is second to none! They are very client oriented, patient, honest, reliable, meticulous and are super problem solvers. I wanted a white lacquer finish and over sized circular pulls with a chrome inset (not easy to construct) but didn't want the typical structure used to house a murphy bed. Murphy beds need to slide into the unit which usually has a base platform that is a half an inch thick or so. I never liked that look . I feel it lacks substance. It was Monique who suggested the very wide parsons frame that surrounds the unit and makes it the statement piece it is. Everyone who see our unit, gives it Rave Re:views. We have worked with Halifax Cabinetry over the last two decades and have always been more than satisfied with their abilities. They take pride in their work and it shows. They are wonderful to deal with and when they give you a finish date they deliver.

The first thing about ensuring a successful home project outcome is to get a solid recommendation from a satisfied previous client. We did that. Innocently, in fact, as we were invited to a neighbours' home for dinner and were 'wowed' by the kitchen renovation they had undertaken. We have a 30 year old home and it WAS time. We set a budget, had a concept in mind and called two companies for quotes. Monique at Halifax Cabinetry met our budget constraints and got our go ahead. From there, the project was almost effortless. Monique met with us (always as scheduled), embracing our vision and helping choose colours that complimented each choice. She was entirely professional. Installation day came and went, and the transformation was sensational. The invoice came and was exactly as quoted. So I mentioned that the project was almost effortless...almost, because I have YET to decide on a colour of tile for the backsplash. Too many viable options!
