With so many great designers on Houzz I strongly rejoice keep looking. Sarah is a great interior designer but her lack of business professionalism was honestly stunning. After spending $2k on design services she A) wasted time recommending finishes that completely disregarded the project budget. Then B) after recommend wallpaper that was no longer available she took more (paid) time to choose another option. When I said I wasn’t sure I liked it, rather than help me with additional options she sent me the name of a wallpaper wholesale company to go pick my own! Then C) she sent me an invoice via email that went to my spam folder. Then with NO phone call or email sent my acct a collection agency AFTER I had found and paid the invoice in my spam folder! As a business owner myself I cannot fathom the lack of customer care and service I’ve received and am honestly still shocked that someone would treat a client so carelessly.

Sarah exceeded my expectations for her involvement in a complete kitchen remodel project. I hired Sarah in 2018 to design and manage a kitchen remodel for my mid-century modern home. I spent quite a bit of time gearing up for this remodel and I felt I had "one chance to get it right". We didn't move any walls, but the entire kitchen was gutted and we started over with electrical, flooring, cabinets, plumbing, paint, countertops, appliances, light fixtures, furniture, etc. Sarah was involved from start-to-finish with design, recommending and working with the contractor, and finishing touches. My remodel was in capable hands with Sarah and I never felt stressed about anything. Sarah is an experienced professional who is knowledgeable, sensible, creative and detail-oriented. She maintains strict quality standards while keeping the project moving along without delay. My remodel was completed on time and within budget. My new kitchen is functional, beautiful and reflects who I am.

Sarah and her team managed a complete main floor remodel for us including kitchen, living room, dining room, master bed & bath and hardwood floors throughout. They handled everything from the design to the management of the subcontractors to helping us find furniture. Sarah did a great job of listening to what we wanted and bringing it to reality. Communication was excellent and prompt throughout the process and they were on site constantly to check the progress and manage the subcontractors. They're pricing was probably on the higher end of the spectrum but I felt it was an excellent value in the end. The results exceeded all of our expectations and my wife and I couldn't be happier. They are a first class organization and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

As a general contractor that specializes in additions and remodels it is always a pleasure to work with Hixon Interiors. I've had the opportunity to work with several designers over the years and there is one glaring difference between Hixon Interiors and other designers......Sarah understands construction. Where most designers will lay out their ideas with no overall foresight or structural considerations, Sarah gets it. She always respects input from construction professionals and is great at interpreting construction/design for homeowners. She also anticipates most variables and questions and has a quick answer to keep projects moving forward. All of my sub contractors love working with her and I've never seen a disappointed client.

We could not be happier with our selection of Hixon Interiors for our residential remodel one year ago. Sarah and her staff were responsive, professional, timely, flexible and thorough. Sarah, Sylvia and Jennifer missed no detail and pricing from Hixon Interiors was competitive. Sarah's contractor selection performed as an excellent, fully integrated partner. We've enjoyed the many compliments from our friends and family regarding the remodel. We reached enthusiastic agreement on all of Sarah's many creative ideas/suggestions. Commented: fireplace and floorsThe firebox is 36" wide and they are cherry floors. Be aware that cherry floors need a lot of care. They can scratch easily. We did a commercial grade finish for added strength.
