Our 45 year old house had a failing balcony which Scott replaced. He did a wonderful job and it now looks GREAT! He found some unseen dry-rot and took care of the rot rather than just patch over the problem.

I am a Design/Build architect and Scott Lewis (YourDecksNext) started doing some very detailed, multi level, rain garden decks for me in 2017 on my 16 home cottage housing project in Federal Way, WA. I was so pleased with the freestanding decks, that I had him do all the exterior decks (2 & 3 per home) in the project. The project won the 2021 Puget Sound Community of the Year Award partly due to the common space designs that featured Scott's decks as well as the entry porch decks with integral flower pot enclosures and seating. Needless to say I have used Scott on all my projects since and have recommended him to any people seeking deck work. Scott can follow detailed design drawings as well as develop solutions from a discussion and simple sketches. His design contributions are always helpful and he is totally capable of designing elaborate decks on his own. I heartily recommend Scott and YourDecksNext for any project you have in mind.

Prior to hiring Scott to build my deck, I got bids from 10 different companies. Scott's price was in the middle, but from our first meeting he stood out from the rest. Scott took the time to truly consider my ideas and help me figure out what I wanted by providing feedback and ideas of his own. He put together a great design and quickly got to work despite some rough weather. Unfortuantely my project got delayed due to some issues with the city that were in no way Scott's fault. As a result I asked Scott to change the design, but he took it in stride and readily made the adjustments at no charge, while maintaining his positive attitude. In the end, Scott wasn't happy until I was fully happy, and he spent extra time putting in finishing touches that weren't in the original plan, and making some tweaks when I changed my mind. I can't spreak highly enough of Scott's professionalism, patience, kindness, and commitment to the quality of his work. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

I needed a vertical support beam that was 8x8 inches and 12 feet high replaced and a horizontal support beam replaced that was 14x8 inches and 17 feet long for my upper deck. This was going to take an expert. I found that expertise in Scott and his son Thomas! I had 4 contractors bid on the job. Scotts was in the middle which is a good sign. I checked him out with BBB and L and I where he had outstanding ratings. Scott and Thomas did an excellent/awesome job and in a timely fashion. Scott communicated with me daily as the project progressed. Scott is also a warm and friendly person too. If you need deck repairs Scott is your man. I can only give him my highest recommendation.
