Infinite Decks

Mark and his team provide exceptional design, quality, service and value in remodeling our deck. We had an aging wooden deck with soft spots and rotten wood. They removed the flooring and railings, reinforced the support structure, and expanded the foot-print. The composite material they used has stood up very well. Annual maintenance is nothing more than hose-spraying in the spring with a light brushing when wet to remove the winter dust and grime. That's it. The added touches he recommended such as two colors of composite flooring with a darker parameter and lighted railings added a splash to the deck. Now-several years later--we love the deck as much as when they remodeled it. In the interim--Mark has stopped by--timely and at no charge--to reattach a couple of flooring boards that became loose. We have nothing but praise for Infinite Decks and Mark's team.

Our experience with Infinite Decks was and is an ongoing nightmare. We hired Mark to build us a deck in the fall of 2020 based upon a great website, positive reviews, and a good consultation. He billed himself as someone who was a stickler for details and precision, which was what I told him I wanted as someone who expects top notch work. You get what you pay for, right? No. Our project was supposed to start mid-November of 2020 and take about 2 weeks. Our job was delayed until January 2021 due to some conflicts with Mark's crew. We went with the flow on this, as these kinds of things can happen in construction. Our piers were installed by the subcontractor on January 5, 2021, and 95% of our framing was done between January 27, 2021 and February 4, 2021. We made our second of three installment payments, now totaling over $27k at the beginning of February. Work virtually stopped after we made this payment. Some additional blocking on the framing was done in March, then stair stringers were added in April. From the beginning of March onward, it was a game of cat and mouse with promises and lack of follow-through. The city even came out and advised us that the permit filed in December had not been paid for or picked up until June 2, 2021, so the work done previously was not even permitted. At the beginning of June we imposed a one week deadline to complete the job and this was agreed upon. When this was not met, we terminated service with Mark due to major breach. After some discussion with Mark, we agreed to allow him back to complete the job under revised conditions and a one week deadline. We truly wanted to work things out and just have the job done. Lack of any significant progress continued through July and we made a second and final termination at the beginning of August. To Mark's credit, he did remove the stair stringers to accommodate the pouring of our patio over the summer. Beyond that, I honestly don't know what to say. Despite me wanting badly to like the guy, he screwed us in the most massive way imaginable. Materials have been sitting in our yard for nearly one year, a 22 ft deck railing is taking up my entire garage, and our deck is basically the same as it was 8 months ago... framed and unfinished. We were super reasonable with him given the situation and he took advantage of that. We are currently awaiting a court date so we can serve papers and recover damages. If I could go back in time I would erase the day we ever hired him.

I highly recommend Infinite Decks! I’m so glad that I hired them to build my fantastic deck! Mark the owner is a true artist and craftsman and his designs are creative and unique. It’s fitting that he has won several awards for his awesome projects! He listens, he creates, he makes your vision a reality. His lead carpenter, Karter, does quality work and has a high level of attention to detail. Every corner was cut in perfect and every board was placed with care. They planed the deck joists to ensure a consistent decking surface. The materials they use are top notch… from the decking to the railing. The “under the rail LED lighting” is amazing! We were not only impressed with the quality of their work, but were thankful for the good communication we received from them during different phases of the project. As the deck completion progressed, we came to completely trust Infinite Decks and their team. Don’t settle for just any deck builder! I wanted a custom designed lighted deck with curves and a spiral staircase that would be the envy of neighbors and friends and I got it with Infinite Decks!

We were pleased with Infinite Decks in all aspects of their work in replacing our deck. They helped us in planning the work, they were faithful to the schedule we laid out, they did a good job of keeping the work site safe and clean. They paid attention to the smallest details of any concern we shared with them. We would recommend them to anyone thinking of replacing their deck.

Infinite Decks provided a unique design using a curved deck and railing, and spiral staircase that complimented our pool and patio design. Mark and team were very professional in their interaction with us and in workmanship of the final product. It was an exciting project that was done within budget and completed in time to enjoy the autumn view. It ultimately separates itself from the standard rectangular deck design and preserved the open pool deck space below. They have been recommended to others considering a new deck.

I was very happy with the work that Infinite Decks did. I used one of the best products to replace my deck and the cost was significantly less than other estimates who used products that were cheaper and not as reliable. The project was small and it was done quickly and clean up was great.

Most important to me is a great final product - no maintenance deck with stairs. Looks really nice - squared and leveled. Getting a lot of compliments on it, plus the 2-tone color choices.
