I had such a great experience with Route 1 Movers! Jacob was incredible from start to finish and even worked within the exact budget I asked for. I reached out super last-minute and he still managed to schedule everything smoothly the night before move-in day. 11/26/25 Everyone arrived right on time at 9am — including Jacob himself — and the crew (David, Chris, Herman, and Junior) was amazing. They were efficient, professional, and handled everything with great care. They disassembled all of my furniture and reassembled it perfectly at my new home. Jacob also made me feel surprisingly relaxed given how stressful the circumstances were. I truly felt taken care of throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend Route 1 Movers and would absolutely use them again!

Rt 1 Movers is the best moving company I have ever worked with and I would highly recommend them to anyone. If I ever move again, I will without a doubt call Rt 1 Movers. Jacob, the owner, is onsite for every move. He and his team (David, Roy, Chris and Charles) were professional, competent, hard working, and careful - but what stood out the most was the genuine kindness and care that the team showed to our family and also to each other. They worked as a unit, as a team - and Jacob is a true leader. He helped direct the team when direction was needed, but he didn’t micromanage them. He was ultra responsive and was there the second we needed anything and then discretely went back to helping the team. When you witness true leadership, it is unmistakable - and it is both encouraging and a total relief in situations as stressful as moving. The work that the team does is very hard with long days - but you won’t hear a complaint, a sassy comment, sarcasm or negativity from anyone on the team. They were on time, they were extremely careful, and they came in UNDER BUDGET when the time needed to complete the move was less than planned. Unheard of! My family genuinely enjoyed the moving process with Jacob and his team. Thank you so much for your incredible help in an otherwise stressful life event!

I have used Route 1 movers a couple of times now. The service is excellent and worth every penny. Jacob and his movers are very professional, punctual and considerate. They pack and wrap your items very well. I have never had any of my fragile items broken when unpacking while being moved with Route 1 movers. This is the best moving company in the entire DMW area. I would recommend this company to any person needing of professional movers. I promise you Jacob and his crew members will never disappoint you.

I called Route 1 Movers to do an "in home shuffle". I did some remodeling and needed to move heavy furniture up and down stairs. Jacob and his team took the utmost care of my property and insured I was completely satisfied with the placement of my furniture. It was a small job but they treated me like a very valued costomer. They were on time and sent 5 people (really 6 with Jacob) when we were supposed to get just a 4 man crew. They were professional and worked through one of the hottest days of the year and a horrendous thunder storm, and got the job done! Thanks to the team!!

Jacob and Hannah, and the whole Route 1 Movers family are excellent! We loved working with them on multiple moves, and appreciated the family feel. It was clear they cared about us and making sure that the move was successful. They often times worked hard to figure out the best dates for us, even when it didn't always line up with their schedules. Moving forward, we will keep using them when we need another move. 100% recommended!

As a second time customer, Jacob and his team exemplified excellence yet again. Not a single thing was in bad shape when it was packaged nor when it was unraveled. They moved my furniture to the right spots. My apartment looked beautiful when it was finished and I am very grateful for the experience and choosing the right movers yet again.

I phoned Rt 1 Movers on a Thursday evening last week. I was in a panic. What I thought I could easily accomplish with a couple of teenagers over weekend became clearly impossible when the kids canceled as they do & my new building does not allow any move in or out on weekends! I needed my home put together for Mother’s Day & the walls were still lined with full boxes from my move in several months ago. I had the unfortunate addition of a flood from several floors above me damage my brand new wood floors, & they were finally going to do the repairs several months later. I phoned several companies before I tried Rt 1. I like to use locally owned business when I can, we all must help each other out is my personal belief. After three no thanks, too small of a job...etcetera, Jacob from Rt 1 Woodbridge answered my call. He was immediately kind & understanding. Asked exactly what I needed, what I needed to have happen, and when. Within a few minutes he assured me he would take care of my move. He calmed me down & calmly told me what he could do. I told him I lived in a secure building so I had to move the next day-the Friday of a holiday weekend! He said he and a colleague would take care of it himself! I told him 10 boxes needed to be moved to a local storage unit. Public Storage on Jefferson Davis Hwy we’re also extremely helpful. Once Jacob spoke to them it felt like they worked as a team. Jacob & Steven were kind, accommodating and most of all friendly. They immediately came in and told me not to worry as I had run out of tape & time & nerves!! From the moment Jacob & Steven walked into my home my worries were over. I went quickly to the storage unit to make all payment arrangements. When I returned, Jacob and Steven were done! They had taped up my boxes, taken all with a “yes” note left on them & were just waiting for me to do a walk thru to confirm they had everything I wanted gone...GONE, & it was! Thank You Rt 1!!! This was only about 30 minutes later! They completed the entire job, taped up boxes, grabbed quite a few extra items I had forgotten about, and headed to Public Storage. Jacob said to stay home & relax, he would phone if there was any problems. There were absolutely ZERO problems of course!! He sent me a video of my beautifully stacked & lined up boxes in my storage unit, locked it up & left the keys with the storage company’s staff. Easy! So EASY, and because it wasn’t a big job, he did not charge me the normal flat rate. After a small deposit on Thursday, on Friday 70 minutes after the walked in my door I paid them & Thanked them and melted into my sofa & admired my beautiful organized home! Thank You Jason & Steven! I will hire them again for any moving needs! You will not be sorry! Grateful homeowner at Harborview, Belmont Bay!
