To those losing sleep over a much-needed remodel, BBC is your solution. (We. Were. You.) After meeting with Jack (Sensitive Information Hidden) at our house to brainstorm on a second bathroom in our modest-sized home, Jack sent upfront/detailed planning matched to budget. After work began, Jack maintained open, productive communication throughout. Each plumber, electrician, tiler, paint/trim person on Jack's team was efficient, courteous, and masterful in their craft. Jack remained a partner in the process to the end. Final results surpassed our vision. A family man, Jack even stayed mindful of our two young cats, making sure the work area was blocked from our wandering misfits. (Hope Jack doesn't mind us revealing his soft side.)

BBC Construction gutted and remodeled our two upstairs bathrooms. They did a great job! All of his crew were very professional, courteous, and punctual. They completed the daily work as scheduled and both bathrooms were completed on schedule. Jack is very easy to communicate with and checks daily on the progress of the job. Exceptional Workmanship on Kitchen Remodel We will start off with “on-time and on-budget”. That pretty much says it all, but we are going to give a few details as well. Jack and his team were professional from day one. When we met Jack the first time, he instilled confidence that his work would be top notch and it was, he takes pride in his work. From the design planning and working with his sub-contractor West DuPage Cabinets (shout out to Catherine), to the tear out and rebuild. He hires only very qualified sub-contractors and they work together seamlessly. They all clearly work together often and it provides a cohesiveness of exceptional workmanship. We had a good kitchen, but not completely functional. A pantry that was next to useless, basic house builder cabinets and cracks in drywall due to what appeared to be a lack of attention during framing. Jack and his team, redesigned our kitchen to provide all useable space, correct builder errors and even made a few minor custom changes. Admittedly this started out as a kitchen remodel, and turned into more, with fireplace change to the front and removal of standard mantle, then replace with sleeker contemporary design, and while we’re at it, why not paint all the connecting rooms, adding new baseboards too, lol! Yes, these were add-ons, but all approved in advance, and well worth the money spent. Our project was completed in 30 working days, a little over 5 weeks! Timing was everything and all the subs worked together; plumber, electrician, dry wall team, and Mark the painter (otherwise all-round right hand), they made it happen! By the way, they laid protection on our wood floors and covered anything exposed to avoid dust damage. Every day they took at least 30-60 minutes to sweep and vacuum which reduced overall construction dust. This was very much appreciated and we were impressed. Thank you to everyone who worked on our project, you are all great and most appreciated. And a special thank you to Jack and Mark for their patience and professionalism. We will definitely use BBC Construction again when we are ready for our bathroom remodel.

Jack Zaruba and his team of exceptional sub-contractors remodeled my entire Townhouse top to bottom beginning with the empty basement, moving onto a complete remodel of my kitchen, powder room, laundry, living room/dining room, new stair banisters, master bedroom and master bath. . . In addition, upstairs...two bedrooms and guest bath. They were with me daily for 6 months. They kept to the daily schedule, on time, were polite, knowledgeable, and cleaned up after each day's work. . . they were in the house 8-9 hours a day. For 6 months I witnessed Jack and his entire sub-contractor team making sure that any issues that might arise during the remodel, were addressed and a successful solution was implemented by the team before they moved forward. Jack has an easy style. . . a good listener. . . was open and honest and communicated patiently with me, to be sure I understood and approved of his plan and/or change-of-plan. I love every inch of my remodeled Townhouse, and would highly recommend Jack Zaruba/BBC Construction to anyone who is looking for an experienced contractor with integrity, and a team of sub-contractors who once told me how much they liked working for Jack because he was highly organized, honest, and a man of integrity . . . the very best reference. . .

Jack is a perfectionist and only uses high quality subcontractors. BBC completed a main bath, hall bath, kitchen and replaced all flooring on our main floor. There was a detailed timeline for all work and stayed on schedule and budget, this is no easy task given supply chain issues. Evaluated several contractors and chose BBC because his proposal was very detailed so you knew what you are paying for, no surprises.

BBC Construction and Jack's group of trusted sub-contractors refinished my main bathroom and I couldn't be happier! I can't believe the difference! The plumbers and electricians corrected some shortcuts taken on a prior renovation and brought everything up to code. This entire team obviously takes great pride in their work! Jack was on top of the project the whole time and coordinated everything seamlessly. I will definitely call on BBC again!

Jack Zaruba and his network of excellent subcontractors are awesome. BBC Construction & Remodeling recently refashioned a portion of our ground floor into a pleasant “geriatric master suite”. Our upstairs bathroom is renovated and all supporting infrastructure is significantly improved. Everything in the house is now up to code. An earlier project with BBC Construction and Remodeling included turning a sinking enclosed front porch into a stunning sunroom with a proper full foundation, replacing many windows and siding on the entire house, upgrading the electric service, and fixing a troublesome multi-valley patch of roof. We are very pleased with the great job from Jack's company! We had BBC replace a skylight in our bathroom. They did an excellent job! Jack was so nice and easy to work with. His team with the person who installed the new skylight was very thorough with completing the project. We would definitely hire BBC Construction &Remodeling again, thanks Jack!

Jack and his team remodeled our old farm house's kitchen and baths. His professionalism and work quality are excellent. He listened to what I wanted, stayed within budget, completed the work in a timely manner. His attention to detail and follow through were excellent.

I can't say enough good things about the work Jack did for us. My wife and I are busy parents to a young family, so we don't have time to do projects ourselves, let alone manage a bunch of contractors. What we needed was a turnkey remodel to our living room. Enter Jack. He came in to estimate the project and worked with us to figure out the best approach to our project. We got new floors, a new partition wall, 3 sets of doors, paint and a new ceiling fan. He was professional, prompt and courteous at all times. His crew always arrived on time and were very respectful and did a good job cleaning up. The quality of the work was superb. The project was done on time and within budget. He did everything he said he would do. We feel we got good value for our money and we will not hesitate to use Jack again the next time we have a project.

The "job" was small, but needed. Vinyl wrap was needed on all exterior trim...windows and doors. The work was efficient and professional. I would recommend BBC Construct ion to anyone needing small or large jobs.

Jack and his team of experienced pros remodeled our master bathroom in 2015, and we absolutely love it. He was detailed-oriented, careful to contain the construction mess from the rest of the house, and was responsive to a bunch of our changes we made along the way. It was a joy to work with his designer, Buff Mueller, and she kept us from making several expensive mistakes!
