Conscious Construction Design Build

We have loved working with Jason and Kelly and every single person on their team. They are all unfailingly polite, smart, happy to answer questions, experienced, and great communicators. We are thrilled with the detached office they built on our property. The design is elegant, the finishing touches are beautiful, and the price was extremely reasonable. I am so happy we found them! I cannot imagine any design/build team being better. We had never had anything more than small remodels done before, and they really made the process quite enjoyable. And when they were done, they took care of all sorts of projects in our main house, again, for a very affordable price, which was wonderful, and saved us from having to interview contractors of unknown quality on our own. Conscious Construction: Consummate pros, and just plain nice folks.

We hired Conscious Construction to remodel our guest bedroom/bathroom suite, plus tackle a set of smaller projects in other rooms of our house. We couldn’t be happier with the results. Jason Eaton and his team were meticulous in their attention to detail, which was important to us because we were very involved in customizing doors, cabinets, and other features. Throughout, Jason and his small, but expert, crew were mindful of the design implementation and collaborated with us in a suite design that perfectly fit our esthetic while staying within our budget. Conscious Construction is clever, smart, conscientious, and, on top of all that, a pleasure to work with. We recommend them highly, without reservation.

Just finished our third project -- a guest bathroom remodel -- with Conscious Construction. We are very happy with the results. Overall cost was very close to original estimate. (We upgraded a couple of items along the way, which resulted in more expense.) Jason and his crew, including installers and other subcontractors, were professional and very diligent, and we enjoyed having them in our home. They were also very good about soliciting our input during the remodeling process. But for a nonstandard shower door delivery that was later than expected, all the work was doe within the original time frame.

We loved working with this design and build company for our remodel. We had a rough idea about how we wanted our space to feel, but we needed more design guidance. We looked at other companies that were willing to do whatever we wanted but couldn’t provide that design direction that we needed. We had some strong ideas but needed someone to say, “that’s great but did you think of this?” Or “that won’t work but this would!” They provided that guidance and were on budget and on schedule! Would gladly work with them again.

So I did not know Jason and Kelly prior to hiring them for our construction of our brand new house. After meeting with them it was clear to me that they were perfect for building our new home with a mother in law unit attached. This husband and wife team think of everything. When we couldn’t decide on the zillions of options out there for everything to color, fixtures, design, etc Jason and Kelly would have meetings with us at their house and at the places they buy their products to narrow the decisions down that they have expertise in as to what we should consider in our decision making process. This made decisions so much easier for us as they guide you through the whole process without you feeling like wow I don’t know what to do. Jason and Kelly use the same subs for all their projects and all the subs say they love working for those two as they are on time and their scheduling of everyone is impeccable. Plus they are so nice to work with. We were told at the start of the project that we would be in our new home close to thanksgiving. We received the keys to our home the day before thanksgiving. What other contractor does that! Jason and Kelly follow up weeks and months after to make sure we are happy in our new home. After moving in they come back in and fix those dings you and the movers did moving in. After our house was built Jason and Kelly had an organization come in and evaluate how energy efficient the home is. I was there when the evaluator who put the home through unbelievable tests said your home gets a platinum certificate. This home is so well built for being energy efficient. I have had friends of mine say you are kidding. You moved into your house on time when the contractor said you could move in and all the landscaping and irrigation systems are all in place so everything is done! They said I wish I had hired your contractor rather than having my house being built late and with numerous problems. The one thing I want to tell people who read this is that I ran a police organization for numerous years and I would not hesitate to recommend Conscious Construction to anyone having a new home or a remodel built as these two wonderful people want to absolutely make you happy in your new home. Jason and Kelly have built our dream home and we are so happy with it and them!!! My wife and I would be happy to talk with anyone who are considering using Conscious Construction to tell them what an A plus project they would be getting!!

We are so very pleased with the work that Jason and Kelly Eaton created on our recent building project. They are both very collaborative. We felt that they listened and responded to our ideas while creating a design scheme that suited us artistically and practically. They are very mindful of the budget and timeline. We were most impressed that they take on only a few jobs at a time in order to devote their full attention to the project at hand. As a result, our project was completed in a remarkably efficient period of time. We also appreciated Kelly’s background as a landscape designer, so her expertise in that area added to their design and build skills. On top of all of these attributes, they are just great people! Jason and Kelly were great to work with. While building our office/studio, they put up with up with our changing vision and particular taste. They were generous with their time and did everything they could to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. Their rate was quite reasonable for such a custom job, and they went out of their way to save us money any way they could. I'm very happy with the result and process. I would recommend Conscious Construction to anyone who is looking for creative design and quality construction.

In all my experience, with contractors over many houses, and many years, I have NEVER worked with a more professional company. Their attention to detail is outstanding. They followed through on every aspect of our project and left us with an amazing product. I cannot recommend Conscious Construction enough. My only fear is that I am now spoiled for any other contractor.

CONSCIOUS! CONSIDERATE! COMPETENT! The talents of Jason and Kelly combined make up a great Design Build team. I was an out of town owner with a tear down/ multi-structure ground up project and a one year deadline. After interviewing several contractors, I felt confidant they were the team to see the project through from concept, planning/permits and construction to the finish work, added details and landscaping. The communication was effortless. My few trips to the job-site were highly productive and their problem solving skills were invaluable. In siting our home, Conscious Construction considered everything from the angle of the sun and direction of the breeze to our future plans for pastures and gardens. They listened closely to our priorities and how we live, and built a beautiful light-filled modern farmhouse that I still can't believe I get to live in. Sometimes if I had a certain idea in mind, they would get to the heart of why I wanted it, and then find a better way to do it that would fit with our aesthetic, topography, and budget. Because they design and build, we always knew the budgetary consequences to every design decision. I absolutely loved working with Jason and Kelly. The communication was great throughout, and they really cared about getting every detail perfect. All the subs were extremely professional, courteous, and communicative. And finally, they did all this on time and on budget, something my loan officer said was virtually unheard of. I can't recommend this company highly enough.

Jason and Kelly of Conscious Construction Inc. far exceeded my expectations. I had seen their work, so knew my project would be great, but was pleasantly surprised at the ease of the process. They not only listened to my input but understood what I was after. They struck a perfect balance between professionalism and comfort. The attention to detail was impressive. They worked very hard and succeeded at staying within budget, always letting me know when choices I had made were going to change the numbers. Jason and Kelly Eaton of Conscious Construction designed and constructed a patio and pergola addition to improve and complete the upper edge of my backyard, which is closely overlooked by my uphill neighbor. The finished project is a complete delight! I asked for a design to provide both shade and privacy, as well as one that was in keeping with a relatively modern design aesthetic. Kelly suggested replacing the small concrete steps with a larger concrete patio area topped with a metal pergola structure, using stained cedar slats for shade. Kelly really listened to what I wanted to achieve and quickly understood the look that I wanted. Our meetings were always timely and focused. Jason assembled a great group of subcontractors, supervising their parts of the project and performing his own construction work in a timely fashion. Everyone who worked on the project was very skilled, professional and nice to interact with. I decided to be bold and had the metal pergola powder-coated in a deep orange to coordinate with the same color powder-coated railings on the deck and porch at the other end of the house. We even powder-coated the metal gate into the garden adjacent to the patio. This new patio area is so beautiful that it makes me smile whenever I look out my kitchen windows. I use this new patio all the time now, unless it's 105 degrees out. I know that this has added a significant amount of value to my entire property, but the deep pleasure and beauty it provides go far beyond any monetary considerations. Every interaction with Kelly and Jason was great - they are very professional, organized and responsive, as well as being great people. I used them because of the glowing recommendations of two close friends who are very meticulous and used CC on two projects: a 2 bathroom remodel job and a complete house renovation. Without Kelly's help, I would never had considered using a metal powder-coated pergola structure; that decision transformed a standard patio into a real winner!
