I highly recommend Jast Construction, they did an outstanding job for me. I have an ultra custom home, all the trim work has been custom milled and I'm extremally picky when it comes to who I hire. Steve was recommended to me by a well known Ann Arbor craftsman to rap my 16ft beams with oak, I have to say that Steve and his crew exceeded my expectations. The beams are beautiful, Steve and his crew are true craftsmen, respectful and a joy to be around.

Jast Construction added a portico to our front entrance. Steve's knowledge and years of experience along with his professionalism made the experience so easy. We expressed to Steve what we wanted and he designed and constructed our idea. We have had so many compliments on the portico. We would only use Jast construction for any future projects we have.

Steve was a great person to work with and am enjoying the beautiful porch he designed. He ordered the lumber ahead of time so there would not be a shortness of lumber. He was professional, prompt and organized in all aspects of my project. He did an excellent job.

A very positive experience from the initial call through the end of the project. When other companies would not return calls for a water damage project, Jast Construction found time to quickly respond and fit us in their schedule. They contained the work area with dust partitions and covered the floors to protect them. The company owner is on site throughout the project and is very professional and respectful in the way he treats his team. I highly recommend without hesitation.

Jast Construction was a lifesaver. He converted a cabin into two motel rooms in matter of 10 days. Steve done an outstanding job in fact beyond our expectations. Very professionally done. We absolutely would hire Jast Construction again for any project,

Steve completed a large project at our house in Superior Township, MI. The largest portion of the project included removing all existing exterior siding and trim, installing new foam insulation (both open and closed cell types were used), new wall sheathing, siding, and trim. In addition, we had him take an unfinished attic space and turn it into a finished space, build a new stair to the newly finished attic space, and many other tasks. Steve was meticulous in every aspect of the project from matching subtle variations in trim dimensions to finding the right subcontractors. While the vast majority of the work was done by Steve and his crew, Steve found quality subcontractors for a variety of trades for which he was not doing the work himself. Some of the quality subs he brought to our project include: Electrical Excavation (for rebuilding a land bridge on our property) Roofing (our project included re-roofing our house and garage) Insulation (for the expanding foam insulation) Stair construction Drywall Our house was originally built in 1833 and moved to its current location in 1966, so there were many challenges in getting the job done right, and Steve met these challenges.

Jast construction has done 3 projects for us (that's how much we liked their work). 1.) Custom TV cabinet build and install, 2.) Laundry room blow out and remodel, and 3.) Basement finshing. Always professional and easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Jast Construction, LLC finished our basement end of last year. His work exceeded my expectation. From the start of the job he paid great attention to every aspect of the job, his notes were always available and up to date. Which allowed us to have a productive weekly meeting to make sure we were all on the same track. He keep the work area very clean and well organized which allowed us to review and check the quality of work on a daily bases. Steve has a great ability to see things and make some great suggestion. We really appreciated his perspective on many items. I have had a lot of contractor's over the years. It has been a very long time since I felt that I got more then what I was expecting. Steve Jast of Jast Construction, LLC, performed a high scale remodeling of our basement which included but not limited to, A) the design and installment of a finished bathroom with shower; tiled flooring, in both the bathroom and shower; large walk-in closet with shelving on both sides - exceptional concept design (created on the fly by Steve) and two vessel sinks and toilet. B) the design and installment of storage/utility rooms with hand-crafted shelving which allows for an enormous amount of storage capacity for larger items i.e., a torpedo car carrier, patio umbrella, etc.; full lighting and double french doors for multiple access. C) the design and installment of a wine closet; the units were custom made - hand stained to match colors in our home, a recessed light for ease of vision, and a glass front door with a hand stain trim. Extremely elegant. D) Since our plans for the basement did not include complete foundation dry wall, we asked Steve to implement dry wall for a specific area to allow for an entertainment room. Not only did he perform this task, he also designed a bracket system to hang track lighting in an area which did not constitute such a design naturally. *E) Consulted in the implementation and setup of an outdoor kitchen - connected the gas line (another contractor could not connect a gas line so a quick call to Steve and he was out there same day!), made sure the outdoor grill was properly functioning. To conclude, Jast Construction did MORE than we expected based on the plan and design of the work contracted for...an issue presented itself, notify Steve and the problem was resolved. Steve is great and the company is very efficient, well-mannered and professional, and they also clean up after themselves! (Our experience, not all of them do.) If you want a great look to your home, performed at great value, by a true professional for ALL of your needs (and some to can't foresee), have Steve in your home for a visit, you will be glad you did!! *Steve did not invoice this scope of work even though the company did it last minute and in the rain!

We have used Jast Construction for several projects inside and outside our home in Novi. He completed a complete facelift of our stairs including replacing wood balusters with cast iron ones. He installed crown moulding for majority of lower level of our home. Steve also installed simulated wainscoting in our dining room (we requested this to save some $$$) and built custom deck around our swim spa. Steve's craftmanship is fantastic--he is very meticulous. He is especially adept at customizing your project to best fit your home.

Steve provided a support structure for a heavy piece of granite for our kitchen remodeling project. He has also serviced and repaired 2 fireplaces to insure they were in good working order. He is always very prompt in his quotes and pays great attention to detail.
