Ampersand Development

Ampersand did our beautiful kitchen remodel, and we are very pleased with the results and their work. We also redid floors, a closet, full HVAC, and a few other miscellaneous things. Jeanevra has a great eye for design and was very helpful and hands-on with us as we chose our materials and finishes. Her team were all great throughout the project as well - very friendly, helpful, and did a thorough and well-executed job. Our only real challenge was with communication around budget - we would have preferred for more communication related to unexpected changes in cost, but the team was receptive to feedback in this regard. We were also delayed a few weeks past our projected completion date, but it seems like that's extremely hard to avoid, especially in a city like ours with strict permitting guidelines. We enjoyed working with Ampersand and love the way our house turned out - it's exactly what we wanted it to be.

Ampersand did an excellent job on our renovation and it was completed on time. Our renovation was a total gut of our single family home and ampersand helped guide us throughout the entire process from the floor plan, picking out finishes, etc. She uses high quality sub contractors as well. Overall we were very happy with our renovation and would highly recommend Ampersand!

JC and her team were great to work with. They are professional, reliable and organized. The communication was excellent. All of their subcontractors showed up exactly when scheduled and were also pleasant. Extra points for being a woman-owed business as well. We are so pleased with the outcome and will use Ampersand for our next project!

This is long overdue, my apologies. We bought a 4,000 sq. ft. house in 2020 and had Jeanevra and her crew remodel 90 percent of the house. Any time you work on a large scale it will have its challenges, but add the pandemic with the real estate boom and dealing with low inventory, shipping delays, people getting Covid and having to quarantine for 14 days, it will be overwhelming to say the least. But Jeanevra was a true pro and got everything done in a timely manner when it felt like our world was caving in. Not only would I recommend Ampersand Development, I would hire them again in an instant.

Jeanevra and her team of professionals amazed me from the initial design stage all the way to completion! We converted two bedrooms and a bath into an idyllic master suite. She listened to our ideas and our wants/needs, and used her creativity and experience to create something beyond what we even thought was possible. She stayed within budget and was always up front with how one of my additions/changes was going to increase the cost. All of the professionals that she used did exceptionally high quality work and the only delays in schedule were when materials were delayed, which is expected given the current market. Overall we are very happy with Ampersand and already are planning other projects with Jeanevra to improve other areas of the house.

I have booked Jeanevra Calhoun and Ampersand Development to update the exterior of our home and to repair interior flood damage. I appreciate her attention to cost and schedule to keep the project moving until completed. If I had any questions or concerns, Jeanevra would immediately respond. I highly recommend Jeanevra and Ampersand Development and would book their services again.

I have used Jeanevra Calhoun and Ampersand Development on two occasions. First to sell one of my homes in 2015 and second to assist in updating, remodeling and leasing another in 2017-2018. She was attentive to both projects, very professional and personable. Jeanevra also has a terrific eye for design and made several suggestions that greatly improved the curb appeal for both homes. As I live out of state her hands-on approach, dependability and great communication skills were a tremendous help in the completion of the second project.
