When shopping for an artisan to create a large butcher block island top for our kitchen renovation, I compared companies all over the country for price, quality and delivery. I think I ended up comparing about twelve companies. Jim Lefever stood out in all three categories. I could not be more pleased with the quality of his work. I ordered some maple treads and risers shipped to Alabama. They were cut to the exact size I specified, shipping was quick. I stained the treads and painted the risers. they look great! thanks.

I was in the market for "retro" stair treads. These treads need to go over the existing tread that was just plywood. Lefever Cabinets was able to first understand what I needed, and then walk me through how much each species of wood would cost. They also crafted some transitions to the odd specifications I needed. We bought some land and built a house. Wanting to stay local, we found a cabinet maker less than a mile from our property.
