Being in Florida while our home was built in Northern Virginia could have been difficult, but the team made the process incredibly seamless and enjoyable. Remarkably accurate estimation of completion date far in advance made our interstate move easy. Arlen’s communication was exceptional, providing detailed email updates well in advance and accommodating our travel schedule for meetings and walkthroughs. Their transparency and honesty were refreshing; they never pushed for upgrades and often recommended the most cost-effective, high-quality options while explaining the reasoning behind them. The craftsmanship was superb, but it’s their attention to detail that truly set them apart. They replaced a large gym mirror due to a tiny scratch we and our home inspector hadn't even noticed, and they didn't hesitate to redo the tile behind our kitchen hood to ensure the aesthetics were exactly as we envisioned. Arlen and his team did an outstanding job rebuilding our home after our house fire. They helped us navigate the insurance company, handled our strict HOA requirements, and paid attention to every detail. As very particular homeowners, we truly appreciated their patience and thoroughness throughout the process. Great construction quality and great attention to detail. The only reason for three stars is that they built an almost identical home down the street after I worked extensively with them to design my home under the impression that it was a custom. Very disappointing.

My wife and I new of Kingston Royce Homes for 7 years as we watched them build homes in our community in Fairfax. When it was eventually time for us to do a tear-down and rebuild, we contacted Arlen of Kingston Royce Homes first. But then we did our due diligence. We met with and toured the homes with many different contractors. Interestingly enough, many of the competing construction companies knew Kingston Royce Homes and spoke highly of them. The other home builders compared themselves to Kingston in terms of cars. "We are a Toyota and Kingston Royce is a Bentley". The other home builders were telling me that if you want the best, go with Kingston Royce Homes. The building process was very easy for us since everything was taken care of by Arlen and his team. The great thing is that we could trust Arlen and had to second-guess anything. They went above and beyond in every way throughout the entire process. We decided to build our custom dream home after realizing what we wanted was extremely hard to find. We had been looking for months and were unimpressed. When we walked through our first Kingston Royce home, we knew we had found the one. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were hands down the best we had seen. From the owner, to the project manager, to the crews, they have very high standards and it showed in their product. I’ve got to admit I’m a perfectionist. The process of building a custom home paralyzed me at times. Arlen helped guide us through the process and was flexible and good natured when we made changes even though money, time and energy had already been invested. We purchased our home built by Kingston Royce in Oct 2013. In terms of value – You will not be able to find a better deal in either new or existing homes. Loads of items other builders consider options are standard in a Kingston Royce homes. Prior to signing our sales agreement, we looked at extraordinary amount of single family homes on the market in Fairfax County for four months. There was truly no comparison to the product Kingston Royce provides. Attention to detail and quality – Kingston Royce’s owner and principals are in the home nearly every day during the construction process. They provide intense in-process monitoring of their sub-contractors so quality is built into the home. Efficiency of the home – The energy efficiency of our home is incredible. During this year’s harsh winter weather, the cost of gas and electricity was less than ½ of our last house. It is so remarkable because the Kingston Royce house is twice as big as our previous home. Livability – Probably, the most important attribute of the Kingston Royce home is its comfort and livability. The house is designed with what our family calls the “Heart of the House.” The combination of the kitchen, Florida room, and family room make it the natural gathering and living space. All the rooms are spacious with high ceilings. Honestly, our family finds it hard to leave the house! Service – From beginning to end of the home purchase, Kingston Royce’s service was outstanding. The company handled every inquiry, request, issue, and concern professionally, timely, and completely.

Arlen and the team at Kingston Royce are amazing. I believe I am the first owner of a Kingston Royce home and I could not be happier. I've been in my home for almost a year and a half now and I love it as much today as the first day I walked through with Arlen. The construction is absolutely the highest quality. A great deal of thought went into every single aspect of the house from the layout to the septic system to the colors to the molding to the finishes.
