KJ Maul construction was a pleasure to work with from start to finish! I've worked with them on a number of projects ranging in size from small to large. I own a small business and they completely re-designed my front lobby including floors as well as re-designed my dog grooming room. They were easy to collaborate with on the scope of the project and were able to take the idea in my head and make it a reality. They provided so much more than previous contractors I've worked with by diving into how my team or customers will utilize the space and then offered suggestions on work flow, space utilization ideas & suggested materials for the project. They even came in on time and on budget & their crew was clean, efficient & professional. We received so many compliments from our customers on the look of our new space! Beyond the execution of the project, what I liked most about my experience with KJ Maul is their project management expertise and how they defined the scope of the project. We had several pre-planning meetings discussing budget and ideas and we were able to flush out a project plan collaboratively. Key milestones were identified and they were all met perfectly! I have been doing construction projects at my facility for over 10 years and have yet to experience this level of project management & beautiful execution. Bravo KJ Maul Construction! I hired KJMaul for a major renovation that involved the removal of interior walls, placement of bamboo flooring in 2/3 of the downstairs, and installation of kitchen cabinets, counters, island, and appliances. Kim spent several hours with me before the project began, helping me with the design and going to Lowe's to help me pick out/design the cabinets/counters and layout. They started on the day they said they would. The project took 3 weeks longer than planned, but this was due to some unforeseen issues with my ductwork. They were very patient when I would change my mind about something, and never complained if I asked them to redo/fix something that wasn't quite what I had envisioned. The staff was friendly, professional, and neat. Perhaps the most unique thing about this company is their communication. Both owners are very reliable and would respond to texts within an hour. I would highly recommend this company and plan to use them myself with future projects.
