BE CAREFUL AT THE START! After an initial phone call Jamie suggested I hire him just for an initial consulting visit instead of the free estimate appointment. He came out, walked the yard for 20 minutes, took no measurements or pictures and requested the $150 fee before departing. He said he would be providing feedback via email in a few days so I paid the fee. The email he sent 2 weeks later (after much prodding) was simply an estimate of the cost to hire him to design and perform the work. The email had zero ideas listed nor any information on a plan for us to consider. As it turns out, he disguised a free appointment fee as a consulting fee. Our assumption is that he A. Never took the time to consider ideas during the 2 weeks we waited and B. assumed we were just moving forward with him so the initial consult was unnecessary. When challenged on it he simply said he doesn’t give refunds nor could he justify the fee with evidence that any consulting took place.

LandArc Landscaping & Design is very detailed and professional in their work. Jamie Whitney listens to your concerns and he designs and produces high quality work. He built a deck rail system on my back deck and made a beautiful fence to fence in the garden area where I work at Willamette Christian School. He is very pleasant to work with and would gladly rehire him for my next project.

As an architect I believe that a project is not complete without an integrated landscaping design. I chose to work with LandArc because it is easy to communicate with Jamie Whitney and his employees. The landscaping design are always tailored to the site requirements and the sensitivity of the our joint clients. The quality of the landscape designs are maintained through the quality of the installation and the choice of plants are always conscious of the local character of the environment, as well as the need to minimize water usage and future maintenance.

Jamie and his team were working on a site near us that looked great, and I met him again at a Home and Garden show in Eugene. I interviewed three potential Landscape companies, and Jamie best understood our vision, budget, and timeline. Jamie and the two workers he used were very friendly, extremely hard working, and finished faster than I expected. The new ~75' retaining wall and fence looks great, and should last for many decades. I will likely use LandArc again for future projects.

Landarc Landscape and Design completely understood my vision for two separate fencing projects on my property. Both fences were constructed, quickly, beautifully and skillfully. One afternoon, I noticed that one of the boards was bent slightly and I made a mental note to mention it, but by the time I saw Jamie the next day, he had already replaced it before I had a chance to notice.
