Kaknes Landscape & Patio supply is owned and operated by Richie Kaknes. No one could be more familiar with decorative granite, pavers, patio stone, brick, and other landscaping materials and masonry supplies. As a boy and young adult Richie worked for his father’s Nursery/ Landscape supply business in Chicago. He learned the business inside and out. In 2008, Richie received a degree in Horticulture from the University of Vermont. Out of school he worked at one of the Boston locations of Shemin Nurseries, as a customer service representative and greenhouse manager. That experience instilled an understanding and value of top-notch customer service, a commitment, which was the mission corner stone upon which Kaknes Landscape & Patio was built. In 2010 Richie founded Landscape Express – Salisbury. As no stranger to hard work and long hours, Richie has built the business into a thriving landscape supply company. Kaknes Landscape & Patio supplies provides top-quality landscape supplies to landscaping contractors and homeowners in the northeastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire region. The company’s customer base is expanding rapidly with plans to serve the southern coast of Maine and south to the Boston area. The plan over the next few years is to bring in a nursery line. This will include trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials, making Landscape Express – Salisbury into a full services landscape supply outfit. *If you are wondering why we have the same name as another company in the Boston North Shore area, it’s because we are an offshoot of that business. We became our own separate legal entity in 2010 under the legal name of REK Enterprises, Inc. and doing Kaknes Landscape & Patio supply.
