Using dovetail joining, instead of standard square joining, Lasting Impressions Cabinets ensure a level of quality that you can’t find in most modern cabinetry. The simplicity of using square dado joining has seen it become industry standard. Sometimes, easier does not mean better. Dovetail joining is much sturdier and holds up much better against the day-to-day use that most cabinets face. You’ll see the difference as the years go by. Lasting Impressions Cabinets not only uses dovetail joining for the drawer box, but also uses a dovetail dado to connect the drawer box to the face frame. The bottom shelf of the drawer is also attached into the face frame using a 1/2″ dado. This means there is no need to have additional hardware added to the bottom of the drawer to hold everything together. The absence of hardware decreases the chance of wiggle as the cabinet ages. It’s the details that make all the difference. We use a 5-piece door assembly with a sculpted reverse panel. Our drawer fronts are built the very same way. This gives our cabinets the very same look that is achieved by having custom cabinets built. We finish off the look with a 1-1/4″ overlay of the door opening, in order to conceal the door’s hinges. The final result is a sleek, high-end look that is suitable for any home or business.
