John & Pennie do a great job of working with the homeowner and getting the vision that they have for their home onto paper, in a way that is tailored to the tastes that the homeowner has. Pennie is very good at working with the design till it fits perfectly, and John understands all the structural issues/challenges and knows how to address them as needed. We have worked with John & Pennie on a number of projects, and the end results of their projects are always a project that has been thought through really well. I would recommend Lineage Architects to anyone who is looking for someone that pays attention to detail, and values what their clients wants and needs are. They have a great staff that is there to help get the project done in a timely fashion!

We hired Lineage Architects to design a two-story addition for our home, which was originally built in the 1830's. Lineage came up with a design that managed to blend beautifully into our existing home, yet is full of energy saving features and beautiful details. They stayed within the budget parameters we requested, and came up with many modifications and improvements we hadn't considered. Our energy bill has almost remained constant, despite adding 1500 square feet to our home. I can't tell you how many compliments we have gotten, and the vast majority mentioned how the addition looks so organic that it seems to be part of the original house. Lineage Architects was wonderful the whole way through the process. We recommend them very highly.
