M.A.K. Remodeling Services

I contacted MAK Remodeling to renovate my entire townhouse. I researched 4 remodeling companies and MAK was selected because the cost was competitive and it was the only company that offered a 2 year warranty. I provided a picture of the color scheme and the solid hardwood floors that I desired. The hardwood floors were a line item in the contract. I also sent an email of the type of solid hardwood floors that I would like from Home Depot to the Project Manager. This company pulled a bait and switch and installed fake hardwood floors when I paid for real hardwood floors. The Project Manager sent me an email stating it was an “oversight”. I requested a refund of $6,000; I paid over $15,000 for flooring labor and allowance throughout my house. The company responded, stating that I have a beautiful home and to go and enjoy it. So, after saying it was an "oversight" they failed to take ANY corrective action for this deception. Buyer beware!

We decided to have the renovation of our two upstairs bathrooms done by M.A.K. Remodeling Services after serious research of several companies in the area who could do this work. We were new to major renovation and we not sure what to expect. Our experience was absolutely wonderful. The care, consistency and diligence with this project was phenomenal. Their professional staff and design support is as just what we needed. Our expectations were exceeded by MAK and their wonderful team. Most importantly, we will use them again as we set goals for need projects to our forever home. Call them for an estimate on your next project. You will not be disappointed. We give them an A++.

MAK did a fantastic job remodeling our master bath and fireplace built ins. The crews were incredibly professional and truly cared about the quality of the product.

We received several estimates to complete our unfinished basement. But is was something about Rob’s professionalism, customer service and knowledge of PG County’s permit regulations that confirmed for us that MAK would be the contractor. And like every good leader, he’s staff was an example of the type of leadership and business Rob runs. From the moment we met the Office Manager, Sophala, we knew we were in the right place, as she redirected my husband’s expensive taste; she promised to keep us on budget thru the process, and that she did as she purchased products for our project! So professional, patient an accurate ordering. Along with her crew, even in her absence, Anthony and Skyler covered and the process continued without interruption. Then we met our project Manager, Wayne! Wayne was so patient and accommodating of all my concerns. He delegates and his crew gets the job done! And all of his workers are professional and take pride in their work. Team Jerry (Jerry, Duane and Oscar) framed and installed the plumbing for our wet bar and full bathroom with shower. They did an amazing job! Showed up early every morning, kept us abreast of every move and always including us in the process. It was mind blowing to see how an unfinished basement was framed into rooms of exactly what we had envisioned! They cleaned up every night after work and took their trash with them. Duane always arrived bright and early ready to start with jokes to calm my nerves. “This is the man cave!” Jerry would keep the team focused and stayed on target; he’s a master at woodwork, cutting with such precision and hung the most beautiful cabinets we ever saw. And Oscar was so soft spoken but framed the heck out of our bathroom! Then there was soft spoken Donny. Hard worker and arrived early every morning; some mornings I would open up the blinds; and there he sat in his truck, waiting to start work. Finally the finishers, Jorge and Jose! Both made excellent finishing touches; Jorge oversaw the installation of our quartzite countertops, installed our microwave, installed our barn door, finished the plumbing for our sink and simply did anything we requested to our liking with professionalism, and with a smile. Jorge provided excellent customer service! “The littlest details makes all the difference! “We were especially impressed with how Jorge interacted with the trade professionals and how he tutored his young apprentice Ricarlos, who also was eager to learn and work. I can’t express how grateful we were that Jorge assisted the final inspections (WSSC and PG) we passed all of them without incident! Such a smooth process!!!! Jose had the awesome job of putting the final paint touch ups; fixing plugs; sealing tile; painting doors and making this just the way we wanted it. He takes such pride in his work and leaves it so clean afterwards. If it’s “no good”; he will fix it and make it right! We HIGHLY recommend MAK for you next home improvement project!

We did a bathroom update and they were quick and professional. The job was completed one day ahead of schedule, and they even took the time to pay attention to the small details. I would hire again.

We are very happy with the several remodeling projects M.A.K. completed for us including the master bathroom, guest bathroom and other work moving some ductwork. They are very professional, highly skilled and pay attention to detail. They kept us informed along the way and gave us daily updates on work completed and what to expect the next day/week. We only use M.A.K. for our remodeling projects. High praises for Jorge (George) and his excellent skills and other workers that I am unable to name and to the project manager Dennis, and the office manager Sophala. The MAK team completed two significant jobs at my house, both of them with excellence from start to finish. They stayed in touch with us through the work, confirming and then exceeding our expectations. It's difficult to find people who care about doing a job right, so we are glad to have found MAK. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to make changes or improvements to their home.

M.A.K. remodeling services is a small company, but, they deliver BIG. Staff very friendly and professional. Jerry, is considered "the finisher" and he is worth his weight in GOLD. Anthony is a new employee and he did all the running around sort of stuff. He is great too. The contractor Hernan is truly an artisan when it comes to granite. He did a beautiful job placing our granite in kitchen and bathroom. The fellow who did our flooring also did a great job. Sophala, office manager, is super great!

We chose MAK to do our Kitchen, Deck, Basements Stairwell, Basement, and our Gutters after our wonderful experience with them doing one of our bathrooms. Truly a full-service, general contractor. MAK and their crews are professionals and stay on the job until it's complete. We trusted them in our home while we were not there. Trust is priceless and they definitely earned our trust. I highly recommend using MAK for your next remodeling needs!

MAK Remodeling did our recent bathroom remodel. Large project....tore out prior bathroom, closets, moved walls, etc. Very happy with end result. Rob was great to work with, easy to reach, and listened to any concerns we had. Jorge's workmanship was outstanding. We only had one minor issue from beginning of project to end, but that was a result of my mistake and not theirs. Would recommend their services to others and in fact are now scheduling them for a second project.

We have had a great experience with M.A.K. Remodeling. They are creating an in-law suite for us and it looks good so far! They have arrived promptly each morning and cleaned up the work area each evening. We feel the guys are always very respectful of our home. We are looking forward to enjoying the space after the completion of the project.
