About Us

We are a full service design and build firm. We offer a boutique of options, as required for your project including original design, permit expediting, construction services including project management, interior and landscape design, and acquisition of certificate of occupancy. We also design custom furniture, floating stairs, and other decorating options. Robert Meckauer holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from UC Berkeley, California Contractor's license since 1984 and has over 30 years in design and build experience throughout the West Coast, Texas and Florida. He has also served as an Expert Witness in construction litigation and specializes in correcting code violations.

Jason Wolk

Robert, affectionately known as Bob, is an old soul who conducts business with values. It is his commitment to ethics and morals that makes him stand out. Bob worked closely with us to create and finalize a design of a new construction home at the beach. He then carried the torch thru construction and operated as his own site manager. His vast experience was very helpful as he is detail oriented and manages trades very well. From breaking ground to completion, I believe he completed the project in 10 months. Bob worked on a cost plus basis with us which allowed for a transparent working order. He and Jean are good people who are skilled, committed, diligent, willing and flexible.

Robert Meckauer worked on several projects for us over the years. Our last project was a challenge, since our house was built in the 40's. We hired Robert to both do the Architect work as well as General Contractor. This was great for us, since he was able to keep the subcontractors on point and keep costs inside the budget. Even with changes we made, he was able to make our dream come true! He uses local talent and artists for finish carpentry and painting as well as local plumbers, tile and electricians. We are so happy with our project!
