I am an Interior Designer and I have used the services of Melissa on numerous occasions. She has a "Yes I can" attitude and always delivers as promised and on time. I can always count on her for honest opinions, suggestions for improvements and it is always a pleasant experience. She bubbles with ideas.

We have worked with Melissa on several home projects over the last 10 years and have always been blown away with the results. She has such a beautiful approach to her work and really takes the time to understand the clients needs and how they use the space that she will be working in. She has done such an amazing job of not only tying together all of her work in our home but making all of it look like it was always a part of our 100 year old European style home. Melissa has painted murals in three projects that we designed in collaboration with Hensel Design Studios. In all three, Melissa's artwork was perfectly tailored to the owners' taste & personality, while working seamlessly with the overall interior design.

Melissa completed a beautiful large mural in the lobby of one of the Seattle Housing Authorities new residential high-rises, located on MLK Jr. Way South in Seattle Washington. The mural depicts a whimsical circus like scene consisting of various silhouettes of tight rope walkers, jugglers, horseback riders and trapeze artists. The soft hues of reds, blues and greens along with the darker silhouettes bring beauty to the residents who daily respect and enjoy this wonderful work of art. Melissa also wrote (on her grandfathers old typewriter) a small framed poetic explanation off to the side of the mural how each of the scenes can be viewed as encouragement to setting and obtaining goals in our lives by climbing, balancing, juggling and setting our limits high. Her hard work and dedication to this project gave more than just a beautiful work of art to this community It also gave those who walked through the lobby something they can use as an inspiration to life.

Melissa is an artist who can collaborate to create an artistic solution in a variety of mediums - paint, glass, collage, clay, and metal. She also teaches art and design students of various ages. I have worked with her to create custom fine art for a health care facility, and also to paint decorative finishes inside a residental elevator cab using paint and metal leaf. She is an inspiration, and a professional who completes her work on time and on budget.

Melissa Koch is such a highly skilled artist who works in a wide variety of media. She has an incredible passion for her work and it shows. Melissa knows the right questions to ask, provides sketches, mock-ups, and inspirations to make sure the desired result is achieved. She is a delight to work with, very in tune with her client's needs, and gets projects done on time and on budget. I have worked with Melissa on several projects and have nothing but great things to say about her. I would hire her again.

I have commissioned Melissa on behalf of several clients as well as my own home to paint murals. Her work has always been brilliant, sophisticated and expertly painted. Some of the murals have been quite large sometimes spanning several stories up staircases. Nothing has been too big nor too small for Melissa. The reasons we continue to involve Melissa in our design work are many. She is comfortable to work in a variety of styles, is a terrific collaborator, is excited about input and takes the clients through a comprehensive proccess of developement. She starts with sketches, moves on to painted samples and finally implements the work onto the wall. My clients (and I) have been thrilled with the finished product, most of which have been published. She even took on an idea to develope a mobile sculpture that incorporated elements from a mural in a clients home and brought them in to a three dimensional, animated form that is delightful. By involving a talent like hers one can truly bring a soul to an interior while fully enjoying the process.
