Mercer Floor and Home Carpet One

We had our hardwood floors refinished six years ago. It was a disaster, and left us distrustful of future floor companies. Last year, our floors were damaged, and we had to have them refinished again. I wanted a company with a good track record, and I chose Mercer because they have been in business for more than 65 years. I worked with the great-granddaughter of the founder, and the process went seamlessly. The work was top rate, and the finished product is so much better than six years ago. I chose Mercer to install hardwood floors in my living room/dining room and to carpet my basement. Katlin and Angelo worked with me to figure out materials and colors for my project. They were super patient, professional, and helpful. They met me in my home, in their showroom, and on Google Duo. Agnello has the patience of a saint. Installation staff was also professional and courteous. Kudos to Jeff, as well. I would definitely recommend Mercer Carpet One.

I had floors installed in August of 2020 and noticed a number of issues following the completion. I contacted Jim at Mercer and it took almost a week before they bothered to get back to me. Jeff came out, took a look and agreed that there were several problems. When they came out to fix the problems, they did not finish the work and actually made one area worse. I was told that the yellow goo, that they used to cover nails on the white baseboard, would turn white. It did not and I was told to paint them myself. There are large gaps between planks everywhere and the stair riser is awful. I'm sure that they would not put pictures of the work done, at my house, on their website for clients to see. After calling Jim at Mercer to let him know that I was not happy, he sent Kelly to my house twice, without an appointment, to complete the repairs. Because I am a teacher working from home, I was not able to let him in to my house due to classes taking place. Since then, I have never heard one word from the company about repairing this mess. I have sent Jim several emails since October and he has never bothered to acknowledge them. This company does not know the meaning of customer service or quality work and I would not recommend them to anybody.

Outstanding tile selection - Katlin Farrell was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with selection. Outstanding installation - Kelly Bussard and crew arrived on time and finished on schedule, and did an excellent job with the clean-up. Thank you, Mercer's, for an OUTSTANDING job.

Sheri was very helpful without being pushy, and the installers were professional and friendly, especially patient with my over-friendly dog.

Working with Mercer Floor and Home Carpet One has truly been nothing but professional.. Katlin Choate assisted in making the entire process manageable and efficient. She is truly knowledgeable about her producrs and proved to be very patient. My huisband and I were truly impressed with her professionalism. Even when she moved tothe Westminster location, she oversaw my project unto completion.

Sales person was knowledgeable and patient. Explained all of the options available and brought the samples to the site and assisted us to choose right material and pattern.

My wife and I went to Mercer Floor and Home Carpet One to purchase flooring for basement bath and dressing room. Katlin Farrell was very knowledgable and provided information on the flooring choices. We have received many compliments on the flooring. She saved us money by not having to install a lot of underlayment. In addition she recommended a pad for the kitchen rug. We recommend this store for its large selection and friendly service.

Over a period of 10 years, we have used Mercer Carpet for a number of home improvement projects including carpeting, tile installation, bamboo floor installation and two complete bathroom renovations. Although there were a few times when work had to be corrected and redone (some tile installation in one bathroom), the majority of the work has been high quality, and we have been very satisfied with the work. We will likely use then again for future projects.

Katlin was extremely professional. She arrived on time, and she was courteous and knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions very patiently. She clearly had in depth knowledge of the entire process since told me exactly how the task will be completed and she was correct! She also showed excellent knowledge of the various types of carpet. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience

We had Mercer work on our kitchen over 2 years ago and I can not recommend this company. They over charged by over estimating the area of our kitchen to be tiled by over $2000.00. We were told the work would be completed within 2 weeks but it turned into 10 weeks. When they finally completed the floor tile, it raised our floor 3/4 of an inch. This caused problems with our doors and our refrigerator could no longer fit in its spot. They refused to correct the problem. Do not use this company!!!

A pretty good company from initial quote to installation. Where it falls thru the cracks for me, is follow-up, regarding a potential issue. I think, commensurate with what is out there in HoCo.
