Mike helped us design and build our dream home. His knowledge and expertise went a long way in helping us weed thru all of the endless selections. His attention to detail is outstanding. In addition his product knowledge was extremely helpful allowing us to make more informed decisions during the entire project. Mike was also extremely visible during all phases of the build making sure things were completed to his high standards. It was truly a fantastic experience, if we ever did decide to build again, he would be our first call!

As an Architect, we have worked with Mike on several occasions for smaller projects and remodeling to large new homes.. Mike is detailed and very skilled in his craft. He has a great aesthetic and knows that the finish details make the project shine. Mike is easy to communicate with and often makes very good suggestions on function and design. Above all I find Mike to be very fair with his clients. I highly recommend him to the home owner.

Michael built our home in 2006. He did a great job from design to final construction phase. Likewise, he and the team were very patient and helpful through the dreaded "customer changes"! I highly recommend him and his company!

Michael was hired to do a complete kitchen / family room remodel. The work was quite extensive including removing walls, relocating electrical and rewiring switches. He also did our plumbing, flooring , counter tops and customized our cabinets. Several of the most impressive things about Micheal is he was always placing our desires and wants at the front of his planning scheme while at the same time he was unwilling to sacrifice quality to meet a time frame or budget. He was one of kind when it came to ease of working with and his attention to detail was awesome. It is nice working with someone who actually cares about his reputation as a craftsman, not just about making a buck.

Michael Horning completed two renovations on our home in Bath, OH. The first involved a kitchen/bath/mudroom remodel with a complete gut of the kitchen. The second was a major remodel/addition of a second floor new construction and remodel of rest of entire house inside and out. Mike was able to work with our architect to save the original details and integrity of the original house and update the entire space with his quality craftsmanship. Mike followed through on every detail and truly stands by the quality of his work. He is neat, clean and most importantly, thorough. We have maintained a relationship with Mike for 13 years and have used his professional services and references as we continue to work on our home. We are very comfortable referring him and many of our friends have also benefited from his quality work and professional attitude. We are thankful we had someone like Mike that we could trust to complete our dream home!

Mike is friendly, easy to work with and is trustworthy. His level of Integrity allowed us to feel comfortable with him having a set of keys while we were away at work and on vacation. We lived in our home during this Major Reconstruction and Square Footage Addition. He is trustworthy. We have never allowed other contractors to have a set of keys before Mike, nor after. Kudos to this unique and well respected individual.

Mike has done numerous remodeling projects for us over the last 10 years. The largest project was a complete remodeling of our kitchen including moving walls and redesigning the first floor of our home. My experience working with Mike was consistently OUTSTANDING. He is knowledgeable in all areas of construction and remodeling. He is creative in helping you make design options and is diligent in completing the project on time and in line with his estimates. He has a calm, efficient approach but is always available to discuss your questions. My biggest problem was once I starting working with Mike I kept finding other projects for him to do "while you are here".

Mike installed a new sliding glass door and made repairs to my bathroom. Mike is an outstanding contractor who does excellent. We are very pleased with the results.

The projects that Mike completed for us included a complete re-working of our master bath/dressing room, as well as numerous large and smaller jobs. We loved his approach- great design and advice, backed-up by explanations that made sense and detailed plans. He is a complete professional and easy to work with at the same time! The quality of his (and all of his associates) work is exceptional!

I hired Mike Horning Design Build when I purchased my first home that needed some upgrades. I had met Mike Horning years before when he did a kitchen remodel and living room remodel to my parents house. I had my kitchen totally redone and the main bathroom as well, along with a roof, electric upgrades, lighting etc. Mike and his crew were great to work with. Being that this was my first home, Mike helped during the entire process with design, ideas, and alternatives to help maintain budget but without sacrificing quality and craftsmanship and still be personalized to my preferences. I hope to work with Mike Horning Design Build again for other projects I have in mind for my home.
