TriVistaUSA Design + Build

The TriVista team exceeded my expectations on the conversion of my Washington, DC basement to an accessory apartment. Using a step-by-step approach to ensure clarity and alignment between the team and me, the project manager instilled early trust and delivered on that trust. Issues were raised, discussed and agreed upon respectfully. The estimate provided at the beginning of the project was accurate. Each person with whom I interacted, both on-site and in their office, was a joy. I am deeply grateful to TriVista for their organized, straightforward and transparent approach and the beautiful results of my project.

I cannot say enough nice things about TriVista. From start to finish, they were honestly interested in and responsive to my needs, "got" my aesthetic, did beautiful work - clean, well done, on-time and in budget! Everyone who worked in my house during this stressful time was careful, respectful, and friendly. Doing laundry still isn't fun, but it's nicer in my new laundry room. I feel like I'm at the day spa in my new master bath and can't wait to do some T-day cooking in my gorgeous new kitchen. Best recommendation: I feel like they were worth every penny I spent and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Prior to meeting Michael and the TriVistaUSA team, I wondered if it was realistic to expect someone to be able to translate the ideas in my head to the reality in my house. Turns out it is. There is a special kind of magic in the TriVistaUSA team that is created and fostered that is truly unique - from the way that it is truly a team dynamic and there is nothing hidden, to the fact that we were heard at every step of the project and listened to. From our budget to our story, they heard that and translated it into something magical that we love. Communication with the TriVistaUSA leadership team and all of the employees is seamless and I never felt like I was waiting - these are empowered team members and what Michael has fostered is a culture where people listen to understand, not respond. And what that means is that people heard our vision and made it better than we dreamed possible. What we started with was a boring porch that we never used and what we ended up with was a screened porch that the neighbors are envious of and that anyone who comes close enough to look at realizes is of the highest craftsmanship and the thoughtful details are second to none. I know when I need something done at the house that I don’t need to search any longer. I will always come back to the company that prioritizes people first. We highly recommend TriVista. We just finished an addition to our small craftsman home. We added a bedroom, bathroom and a hallway with custom built-in cabinets. We love it! I think one of the best things we can say is we have never uttered the words “…we should have done that…” or “…why did we do that?..” That is all because of the excellent partnership with the full Trivista team who truly takes you from design to build. From the start with Michael, to the hand off to Pam and John for design (Architecture to towel racks!) and then Denny and his team for the build. Each one listened to us, guided us and built and managed so wonderfully along the way. And they are all genuinely nice people to work with. While we are the most important ones to love it, it also feels great when our neighbors and passers bys say how good it looks, natural fit to the property and the neighborhood! Thank you TriVista!

Really found the whole team easy to work with. This was our first renovation project and they were really good at sitting down and talking to us about what we wanted out of the renovation... and they had several good ideas to present when we had problems expressing what we wanted. They would come back with idea after idea until we had what we wanted. They were also great with our budget, and the timeline we needed them to work within. Generally speaking we found them trustworthy, easy to work with and respectful of our budget (so, not trying to talk us up to expensive options..). Will definitely hire them again.

I had the opportunity to photograph a home for TriVista USA. Out of the 700+ homes I've photographed, this home is in my top 5. The remodel was tastefully unique in every aspect. The windows in the back-splash added more light to the kitchen. I was told when on site that the entire project was built around these windows. This level of detail and execution speaks volumes about TriVista's team of architects, builders and project managers. Their work is on another level. It's too bad I can only give 5 stars, otherwise I would give 10!

My husband and I needed a design firm for our unfinished basement project. We met with Michael and the TriVistaUSA team. Our family of four started feeling crammed in our small Arlington colonial, so we looked for a design-build team to help us expand and upgrade the house we loved. We wanted to both add to the house and improve what we already had, with thought and care taken to help the old greet the new. From our initial interview with Michael, we knew he and TriVista would do more than give us a good finished product; they would make the design-build experience fantastic. I am an architect and I have used at least four local residential contractors over the past 6 years. We came upon TriVista as a recommendation from a friend and they are, without a doubt, the best residential contractor that I've worked with. Yes they show up (not all of them do). Yes they do quality work - better than the rest. But I think their strength is in their design-build advice and their commitment. Regarding commitment, anyone who has had a contractor disappear understands what I'm taking about. Michael is selective in his work so he can provide the best service. Regarding their design ability, it is useful even for an architect to have someone with so many similar projects in their history so we both can decide what will work and what won't. For non-architects/designers, Trivista provides a level of design advice that is a cut above. While we may differed on aesthetic preferences, Michael and his team respected my vision and helped us bring it to life.

Trivista has done two major projects for us: a large addition (family room, master bedroom, bathroom) and a set of bathroom renovations. Their work is of the highest quality and Michael and his team are a pleasure to work with. They are careful and thoughtful during the design stages to help you think through what will work best for your family with your budget. During the renovation period, they are respectful of being in your living space and take great care to minimize disruption and mess. I would highly recommend them.

We hired TriVistaUSA for a kitchen and master bath remodel. Not only were our dreams realized, with beautiful results, but Michael and team solved many issues on the fly, in the face of a very hard deadline (a 50th birthday party.) The TriVistaUSA team was masterful in all aspects of the job. They look at their work not as a remodel, but as functional piece of art for the owners and their families to enjoy and thrive in. The team was respectful, attentive to my wishes and expectations, provided insightful recommendations, and presented an impressive presentation on their capabilities. The design phase ran smoothly and the presentation was well documented and presented. The team was open to changes and amenable to ensuring my vision was possible. The execution began with attention to minimizing household disruption and respect for my pet and housemates. They encountered some schedule slips during the execution but I was kept well informed on progress and efforts to minimize the impact. The team was responsive to critiques and modifications. The final product met my overall expectation. TriVista proved to be a very capable, responsible, and easy to work with company. I would definitely consider them to do future projects and would recommend their service.

We can't say enough about Michael Sauri and his crew at TriVistaUSA. Our remodel was rather extensive, adding to and changing over 75% of our house. TriVistaUSA reworked our kitchen and sunroom into a massive greatroom/kitchen, moved the deck, turned our old deck into my office, and added a master suite downstairs among other things. We had begun the construction with a different contractor who turned out to be a crook. He abandoned our project in massive disarray, no roof, walls open to the elements and a heap of trash filling the back yard. Michael came in and put us back together. Not only did TriVistaUSA complete our dream home on schedule and on budget, but they did this after having to clean up, assess and repair the mess left behind by the prior contractor. Through all of that, one of my favorite things about TriVistaUSA was how willing they were not just to offer suggestions for design and construction, but to listen to our ideas - to find out who we were and what we wanted in a home. I can’t imagine having achieved that without them. Love love love us some TriVistaUSA.
